It’s hard to explain without getting too long-winded (and it depends somewhat on the criteria in your state), but basically OT is what’s considered a “related service”, meaning it’s something that may be provided to a student who has another disability that requires special education (cognitive disability, etc.), but

Meaning she didn’t qualify for special education services? You could still seek OT in a medical setting through your insurance.

What really bothers me about this is that this kind of thing happens in non-famous families every day and child protective services won’t even investigate. But it happens to Brad and Angelina’s family and suddenly you have all kinds of enforcement agencies involved. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be investigated, but

So..... maybe they did indeed stop at a gas station to use the bathroom and, as drunken bros are known to do, they decided to trash the bathroom (or have their own Olympics featuring blow-induced feats of strength...OR they ate questionable food from a street vendor and there was a large scale poo situation). Security

I highly doubt Dillard’s has them. Haven’t been to one in 20 years but I don’t remember them as being higher end department stores.

Yes, and there’s a huge difference between delayed gratification for an infant vs. an older child.

I guess they think feeding a baby when they’re hungry is somehow spoiling them? In that case, excuse me while I patiently explain to a 3 month old that she’s just going to have to wait. I’m sure she’ll be very understanding.

It has nothing to do with babies “starving.” As a matter of fact, I’m nursing my daughter right now (at home), but I have no qualms about nursing in public. I don’t use a cover, either (I’ve tried but she hates it and I’m not going to wrestle a baby who has my nipple in her mouth). And while sure, the baby CAN wait,

The thing that pissed me off about this one is that she’s trying to justify being THAT person- the one who always signs up to bring plates- by saying “well it’s ok because they’re fancy plates.” We have a potluck lunch at work once a month, which for the most part I like (most of my coworkers are good cooks, no one

Possibly, though he’s not a minor, so a court would need to find him incompetent, and though he clearly has some intellectual disabilities, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not legally competent. Plus, representative payees are almost always family members.

Exactly. Doesn’t matter if it was “edited,” it still shows him behaving like an angry drunken lunatic. And even if she was “egging him on” (which I doubt), he’s still in charge of his own behavior.

So does throwing violent temper tantrums and punching your wife in the face.

I agree he should sue, but unfortunately I don’t think any award he would win would help with his future. Given his intellectual disability, no doubt the money would be gone within a year because he’d have no idea how to manage it and his shady family members would take advantage of him. It would all get spent on

I’m not sure what his actual educational disability is, but based on the footage of the “interview” I’d say probably a cognitive/intellectual disability, maybe some issues with language processing that would make it difficult for him to understand the questions. I’d also guess that the school district he attended

Nooooooo!!! I KNEW I shouldn’t watch that video and then I did it anyway and now I feel like throwing up.

I went to MSU, the lounge was called the Women’s Lounge (because that’s historically what it was) but men were not prohibited from using it. I think the only way someone would have gotten kicked out of there is if they were being loud or disruptive, regardless of gender. But it was never known as a room that could

I went to Michigan State and used the Women’s Lounge somewhat regularly (it is really just a small room in the Union that looks just like any other quiet study lounge- the only thing that sets it apart is the tiny sign next to the door explaining the history of the room, and it only had a women’s bathroom attached to

Because he is a professor from the rival University of Michigan (well, U of M-Flint, anyway). I also saw an article that said he does this kind of stuff all the time and is part of an ultra-conservative think tank.

As someone who has suffered a miscarriage, if this was a scam it makes them even more horrible people than they already were. But I also wouldn’t wish that kind of pain and grief on my worst enemy, so for their sakes....I hope it was a scam..I guess....?

The flaw in this article is that they polled “nutritionists” and not actual Registered Dieticians. There are no real educational requirements to call oneself a nutritionist, a Dietician has to actually be a licensed professional who actually knows what they’re talking about.
