Yes!!!

I really like this news. Watching the movie, I was thinking that the stories they were telling might be able to develop their complexity more rewardingly in a serial format.

I’m hopeful that Prince’s legacy and rock god status can help with that, actually. He doesn’t fit the stereotype of asshole uncle, and I don’t think news about his addiction is going to lessen the love of his fans. If we hear about it like this in terms of a visit from a doctor, maybe the narrative will go in a

I’m sure the motives were the usual gross suspects of $$$ and clicks- but I really, really hope that whatever is the stupid reason his privacy isn’t being respected, good things will come of it. There is a huge need for education about opioid addiction.

That’s definitely part of what I hear when I hear the word survivor. The idea that the event that made you a survivor was VERY SIGNIFICANT and CONTINUES TO BE A DEFINING FACTOR IN YOUR LIFE. I’m glad to hear some discussion on how that’s not necessarily what some victims/survivors want.

I’m horrified and fascinated by people’s responses to your story. How could you not be allowed survivor/victim status because your abuser was a family member!? All the horror of the abuse *and* a heaping pile of betrayal? There is so much in that to survive. How bizzare and insensitive.

It’s so disheartening. So... money is a corrupting influence in campaigns? But... outspending your opponent can still result in a loss? Thetefore... millions and millions of dollars are being spent but not in the pursuit of any of the issues the candidates are promoting?

If I didn’t have to be worried about the fate of millions of Americans, I would be so excited about watching this election play out. Will all the #nevertrump and #neverhillary people combine to make it the least motivated voting public ever? Is the strength of either or both of those “nevers” enough to inspire action?

If only Trump was being asked to put his focus on real presidential-quality job skills!

Volume one is the first ATK cookbook I ever got and I use it constantly! Taught me my go-to way to cook a whole chicken in the slow cooker. Three of my favorite dinners from my usual rotation came from that book, too. There are a lot of recipes that I’ll probably never bother with, though.

“He has such a martyriffic legacy”

I was watching an episode of the show where they said they’d cooked 1000 eggs to perfect the technique. Yes, please. I want that level of data collection in my cookbooks.

Right? It’s like the best cuisine from so many cultures: here’s what we found is the best technique for cooking the ingredients that are readily available to us in the kitchens that most people use.

I know! I’m not sure what to feel about it. Sometimes he seems like he’s crossing the line from banter to dickishness, and sometimes I appreciate the bluntness as part of what I love about the show.

But Julia Collin Davison is my favorite.

Didn’t quite understand why this article is like “celebrity cookbooks are annoying for x and x reason! This book is annoying for x and x reason- but I’m here for it.”

And while the chicken recipe is simple for some, there are still plenty of people who will say “anchovies, red wine vinegar, and a baguette? I don’t have

I too like the functionality of Alton’s books! But I wish more celebrity cookbooks were binder or spiral bound so they would LAY FLAT and NOT MAKE ME FEEL LIKE A PHILISTINE for bringing them into a messy environment! I am not a tidy cook.

My favorite favorite cookbooks are the ones from America’s Test Kitchen! They tell you what to do and what not to do (that is, what they tried that didn’t work)! Perfect for someone like me who sees recipes as guidelines.

What makes me nuts is that even if you take away the sexual overtones and expression of dominance that go along with flashing, the showing-of-the-dong isn’t even a good or funny joke. Like, want to be the clown of the office? Get some decent material, sheesh.

Came down to the comments to see if anyone else thought so. Looks a little light to me, but without seeing the doll or the human in real life it’s hard to tell.

You are singing the song of all my suspicions!
