"Ears pinned back, teeth bared against the unseen taint"

I am a 100% Ford guy and love the Aston Martin style front-ends. That being said, I have to agree with your assessment of the front of the car. The hood is too sloped. I realize that is how a lot of the very small cars are (Fiat 500, mini, etc) but on a Ford it just looks wrong.

Are you trying to be snarky about a study? It seems like you are making fun of a study without refuting anything it said. It's like you are using it as an excuse to make some cheap jokes. Listen, just because a study says that men are better at something than women, doesn't mean that the study is somehow false or

meh

troll much?

There could be two reasons, one more obvious than the other.

I sort of agree with number 3. The rest are just dumb. That being said, young men today seem to be lazier and mature a lot slower than 30 years ago. Today, it takes men till their late 20s to get their shit together and grow up. Sure, a lot are living with their parents because they are underemployed, but its also

Don't get me wrong, the technology was terrible and the 1.0 is a vast improvement, but you have to remember that the Ford 1.0 L engine will have a turbocharger on it. If you took a base V6 from that 1983 Malibu and strapped a turbo or two on it, you would get a lot more horsepower.

I think you would have to compare a subcompact to subcompact. Like the 1990 Dodge Omni. That weighed 2100 lbs (200 lbs less than the Fiesta) but only managed 93 hp. (and had "optional" power steering) Or the 1980 Chevette, it weighed 2000 lbs, and produced a paltry 74 hp. Of course a new Fiesta is a million

Of course 20 years ago, cars were much lighter. So you would have to look at power to weight, not just power alone.

Agreed. The new stuff is so dumbed down and like you said, "candy coated." Every stupid story has to have moral ending (I think the original did too, but not every one) and the lesson taught is soooo dumbed down. Back then it was storytelling, now its just preaching lessons in the framwork of trains.

Meh. 99% of tractors have hour meters instead of odometers. I believe ATVs and snowmobiles have hour meters as well.

I think someone messed up the the lab and declared that she was positive, because they set the limit too low. Someone (maybe under stress, new, or an intern) probably saw that it was slightly elevated (but didn't realize that it was still below the postive limit) and reported it as positive.

"murder victim discovered by" Wow, you just described 95% of law and order episodes.

The difference is reflected in what ever the lower limit is set at to separate a positive from a false negative. Obviously the testing agency set the positive limit at too low of a concentration, and labeled a concentration that reflected normal (or ever so slightly above normal) as a positive. Let's say normal

;). I think the hard hat sends the wrong message. If you are a construction manager, you need to command respect, because contractors will always try to cut corners, workers need to be kept safety conscious, and equipment needs to be used properly. If you wear a hard hat with a dorky sticker (sorry) you send the

I think its more for the parents, than the kids. More parents will give this to girls, because it's pink. So it's encouraging girls, only because more parents will buy it. Which I guess is a net positive. I was telling another commenter that gender norms are set in by the time kids are old enough to use this toy.

Normally, I would have issue with the fact they are trying to break gender roles with the use of pink, which only reinforces them. But you and infundibulum bring up a great point with the parents. To me the genious of they toy isn't the fact that its pink so girls will play with it, it's pink so parents will

It's a shame the muslin brotherhood has essentially taken over the government and sharia law will soon fall over the country. Women, non-muslims, and foreigners will essentially become second class citizens. Hopefully, this won't happen, but its not looking good.

I'm interested about the response here. I am an engineer (who would have guessed) and I work with several women engineers. Obviously, they are just as smart and hard working as any man. I think it is important for the diversity of a company to hire women. However, given the mocking responses to pink guns, pink
