Yeah, at most, it was slightly rude and the employee needs some customer service training.
No, he doesn’t deserve poor treatment. But honestly, was he treated badly? This seems mild to me, probably innocent in intention (“that blonde girl” or “that man in the hat”). Certainly not deserving of the fuss he’s making.
Apparently she also sang on a Frank Ocean album. So she’s disgusted by gay people, but still happy to use them to advance her career.
My quote? I didn’t say that.
Okay I agree with your individual points that “Annie” a) was not a good film and b) was attempting (perhaps showily) to be diverse. But if you’re trying to conclude something by putting those two points together, then you’ve completely lost me.
Afraid I don’t have much in the way of real gossip - I was too far down in the pecking order! But I did get to meet her twice and she’s formidable (despite her stature).
She fucking better. That one might really break me.
I’d say that counts, though not quite what I was thinking of - Boehner would have done it for political points rather than personal convictions.
I really hope everyone else will stick with their convictions and turn down the awards etc. for the next 4/8 years. I worry this will all be normalized by the time Trump’s reached Year 2.
You chose your current name well, didn’t you, darling?
It’s the 2004 miniseries “Blackpool”! Cheesy hybrid murder mystery/musical. If you’re a fan of the Davids Tennant and Morrissey, it’s definitely worth a watch. (And we all need some fluff entertainment right now.)
I was wondering if that line was a bit of sarcasm, but now I think you’re right and Anna is not aware of the wonders of Blackpool. Or “Blackpool”.
Sadly, my fantasy gf/bff Kate McKinnon was not there to pick up her award. I was so hoping she’d dedicate it to Hillary.
Agreed. Obviously sometimes awards go to the wrong people, but that doesn’t mean they deserve public mockery like this.
I agree with the Kate McKinnon love. I would legit pay money to watch her read the phone book (especially if she sprinkles it with weird asides about the dark void of space and her cat).
There’s a story (not sure if it’s true) that Bush let the mother of a grievously wounded soldier yell at him for ages in the hallway of a VA hospital. He didn’t try to stop her or walk away. He knew nothing he could say would help her but he could at least provide catharsis. A lack of empathy wasn’t one of his many…
