I have a friend who posted his copy of the demo tape for PHM, and said he'd turned down joining the touring band back in the day, though he didn't completely regret it (as he also admitted he knew he was outgunned and wouldn't have made it)

Do it!

EDIT: I should preface this with "accurate vs. better".
"Better" is subjective and you can't really argue another person in there. What follows relates to the notions of distortion, compression, and other reductions in accurate reproduction, not preferred ("better") sound.

Whether you watch the show or not, read the (basically entirely unrelated) source material, which is incredibly excellent.

Ah! Fair enough then!

Huh? Newman's not dead…

The current Blue Beetle is so great. I'm an avowed Giffen fan anyway, but this approach was just a masterstroke (probably helps that he's written for both of them anyway, too)

My favourite character will never be saved, alas—this much was generally true even before, unfortunately.

2016…the year I broke with Marvel.

The Spencer books, the Aaron books and a few others are all that's left of my once mighty Marvel pull list (and once they're done, I'm not sure I'll replace them).

Civil War 2 is nothing but personality shoehorning, some not even to generate conflict (Thanos, Black Panther…okay, I read #0, said "Fuck this garbage" and only skimmed or read synopses after that, so I can only confirm that, other than those two, it's absolutely just to generate conflict.)

And nothing will convince me to read a comic about that character, much as the same can be said for Deadpool.

Patsy Walker is also not for everyone and some people don't like the art.

I was really enjoying that book, but Marvel's…everything lately soured me like crazy on…everything they're doing in books, and it was one of the casualties.

I think that's definitely the character being homophobic and that being the punchline—cf, "machismo as punchline"

It leaves off the other half. He was allegedly told after that, "Now play like you just found out she's alive" (for the latter half of the track)

"pre-instantly overanalyzed implications"?

There's actually a few of us. Fans of God Loves, Man Kills and Lady Deathstrike primarily, I think.

Saw her months ago in a tiny hole in the wall when a friend was opening (or was supposed to, but went on afterward instead).

A significant amount of it was directed to the piss-poor mastering (not helped by Lars's characteristic, "I don't understand your criticism so you're wrong, it sounds great")
