12 years ago I called that movie a pile of shit. I said the same of both of his next two and never watched another as a result. I do not like Zack Snyder movies and never have.
I've hated Singer since X2, because of X2.
I've known this was the answer readily, in that I loathed that Dawn of the Dead and also Guardians, so nothing has ever not made sense about this to me.
Ebert's skill was writing, not his understanding of movies and film-making.
Honestly, I refused to touch The Daily Show *because* of him for a good decade or so. His smugness and—for me, albeit at a young age—relentless unfunniness made me emphatically name him as an alleged funny person who was anything but for years.
I was very young and all, but it made me loathe Craig Kilborn with everything I had, for being relentlessly unfunny.
The American version was also allergic to the change inherent in the original format. Same games, same players. Every. Single. Week.
Worse, Claire leaves, Misty sees this, and then at the end, no one thinks, "we'd better get our witness to the police station or some shit"
The "don't want to be heroes" was exactly the reason I let this one sit 2/3 of the way through, but didn't with the other shows. I did not enjoy that facet at all.
I remember collective mockery of the show by myself and a number of my 8-9 year old friends, for being unrelentingly stupid.
Wow. I was beginning to worry no one else got that joke, which was incredibly surprising…thanks for the moment of relief.
'Tis a joke. Implying that usage of that phrase in isolation means "I know this French phrase but don't actually know French"
The joke is "I say this phrase to pretend I know French, but it's actually the only French I know, give or take"
I'm guessing you don't speak Sean O'Neal, French…
BTTF2 happened in a universe BTTF didn't exist in.
If you punish a person for dreaming his dreams
Don't expect him to thank or forgive you
The best ever death metal band out of Denton

I think the comic does a heck of a lot better at it all, because it kind of takes on the various people are awful elements in blocks that seem to arc through addressing the idea narratively and maybe poking a bit about what it says about an absent society before moving on.
They slowly withered what appreciation I had for his work. I was quite enthusiastic for a while, but given enough fans…I just can't get excited at all anymore. Indeed, have begun to curdle.
To be fair—mind you, I stopped watching this show in the first season—this is what most strong zombie fiction is, and has been, since the inception of its kind in 1968.
