Fun fact: This was actually filmed second, as touched on in the review. The couple of callbacks to the events of the pilot made me curious, and one of the writers/producers or something confirmed it on twitter.

I'm thinking about turning it into a drinking game.
God, I've not listened to a Taylor Swift album for like 4 years now, but I am legitimately hooked on "Blank Space". That is one fun song. It's catchy as hell, the hook and beat are enjoyable, and lyrics sent me into multiple fits of laughter as I caught references and the video is just brilliant.
Shit, a D+? I really liked this one. Constantine and Papa Midnite playing off each other is definitely the best way to play that relationship, plus I loved how they held off using him until the case was well underway. The underplay of the wider world was hugely appreciated alongside. The ghosts were fun and…
But Luke Cage is actually Terry Crews in a vague disguise. This is known.
Avoiding spoilers, it is pretty extreme, to be fair. Sure, some of it isn't what it seems, but he still goes pretty deep down the rabbit hole.
Will Graham, our "hero" of Hannibal does some… fairly detestable things in order to try and defeat the core adversary of the second season. Yet we still resonate with him and cheer for him, even when those horrible things are quite sickening.
Goodness, I enjoyed this episode. The absolutely astounding performances from all of the main cast, plus Missy and Seb, propelled this episode along so wonderfully, even though the action never went beyond words. The Mistress reveal was one I had on my list of possibilities, though I admit I'd hoped they'd gone the…
Man, I cannot call that a C+. B+ maybe. A- to me. That was the American Horror Story I'd been missing during Season 3. It was batshit insane, with crazy backstories, wicked twists, horrifying villains, and moments of brightness within it all.
They weren't outright trying to burn it down mind, they said they were attempting to clear some roadways so important travel could occur. With the proper safe methods for controlled fires, it was a perfectly logical thought, I felt.
I'm personally of mind that the Mark just "let go" for the time being, and if Dean doesn't make another kill soon, his demonic side is going to be stopping by again. He knows he's going to have to get rid of the mark somehow, but it of course has the potential to do very bad things to him.
Felicia Day recently confirmed she's filming another episode soon!
As a note, though you're only on Season 5, but it looks like the stakes are finally getting "wound down" so they have room to breathe again this season. No spoilers, but from some interviews I've read, Season 10 might be a solid throwback season to the early days.
Speaking of the cure - thank god for the Mark of Cain. It's our wild card, and is keeping me questioning pretty much everything that happens this season. I don't trust the way the most recent episode ended, and I'm sure the writers aren't giving up that story quite yet.
Most specifically the "inner duel" you mention that Matt acted masterfully, but as a whole this episode was packed with a lot of really good moments from him.
Barely watchable? It produced one of the greatest Matt Smith scenes in the entirety of his run.
Since there's already a pun thread going, I'll just say I'm glad to hear a third season is going to happen. The music alone makes this show worth watching!
She uh… She was the birthday girl right?
Oh don't worry that bugged me too :P
Very glad to hear that. Using Arrow as a backdoor pilot made me outright have some reservations just because Arrow had stayed by-and-large realistic, or generally grounded before the particle accelerator. Thankfully it went well!
