Magnificent.

When I first read the title, I assumed it was going to be Cogsworth the clock. Anyone else feel me on this?

My husband and his friends are all engineers and that attitude of superiority is rampant. Luckily, while my husband was still in school he tried to pull that ‘engineering is harder and better than all other academics, especially arts’ shit while around my friends. They put him in his place, HARD. They continued to

I have to admit that was my first thought. They deserve prison, but thirteen years seems strong.
But also, fuck ‘em. It’s the worst combination of dumb, hateful and scary shit to pull.
13 years is no joke though. They’ll have a long damn time to think about it.

Slight lol at the “It wasn’t me” Shaggy defense

I read an interview with him a while ago talking about that new portrait book he has coming out where it seemed like he was aware that he was responsible for a lot of bad shit during his presidency. He seemed like he had a lot of guilt about it, as he should, but it was surprising to see him kind of admit to it. I

“I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy. We needed the media to hold people like me to account,” Bush said. “Power can be very addictive and it can be corrosive, and it’s important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power.”

I dunno... The NYT has been ripping pretty hard into the Trump administration. What are they supposed to do, post Trump’s picture on the front page of every issue with the headline “This Fuckstick Is Fucking Hitler, Ya Dumb Shits”?

i’ve been in med school for 2 years now and routinely still mix up all the white guys. trevor? nick? nathaniel? i just don’t talk to them it’s fine whatever

Impractical? Impractical?!

Sadly, that’s completely standard. Men have previously been subject to harsher standards for derivative citizenship (and it’s possible that your friend’s child was born in a time when that was true because the rules only became equal very recently). This has been the case for centuries and is true in many places

“we have combined student debt of nearly $300,000"

How can any Trump voter call Hillary a liar and not spontaneously combust from the sheer, blinding hypocrisy of their words?

The only moral abortion is my abortion. The only time I do not insult Obamacare is when my insurance is cut. The only time I promote gay rights is when my child comes out to me.

How can anyone be this stupid? Caitlyn isn’t the only one surprised by this! Other people are too! Why? How could anyone be surprised? It’s lead poisoning, isn’t it? We as a nation are paying the price for it, aren’t we? If you care about LGBT issues (on the side of not hating people for no reason), you vote for the

You can take some deductions (student loan interest, moving expenses) without itemizing. If this deduction worked the same way it would still benefit those who take the standard deduction

Also, deductions reduce the amount of your taxable income while credits reduce your amount of tax (and sometimes are refundable if you don’t owe any tax).

The problem is that they are proposing a child-care tax deduction rather than a child-care tax credit. A tax credit could, at least in principle, benefit everyone, but tax deductions only benefit those who itemize deductions rather than taking the standard deduction. Tax deductions disproportionately benefit

We are a one income household and have been for 5 years. I’m a relatively low earner and the average $1600/month childcare plus transportation costs would have consumed almost all of my salary. I would have been so happy to benefit from a plan like this

Rich people probably spend more in dollar amount in childcare so they will be able to deduct more. That is why tax credits though better than nothing always benefit the rich more. They are regressive for the most part.
