I have exactly the same concerns. His entire campaign ran on misdirection. Event the terrible things he said or tweeted kept us off of more substantive discussions about his competence and dedication.

I agree with you on this. Trump is taking measures to weaken the credibility of the media and the scientific community, while staging manipulative communications stunts (see: the immigration exec order which mandates that all crimes committed by immigrants be listed online).

There’s a saying in marketing that you can either sell something that solves someone’s problem, or you convince someone that they have a problem that only your product can solve.

I guess it does buy some political capital with the American people even if it doesn’t buy any with Republican lawmakers....

I totally agree with you. Having been in an abusive relationship, I know that it’s not as simple as “she made her bed now she has to sleep in it.” But of course it’s possible that she’s also a garbage human and she’s comfortable with her choices. None of us know her personally so we don’t know what’s going on in that…
