Yea, there was once a time when AV Club would write this with a lot more nuance. Right now it’s almost like they’re enjoying how unhinged she seems.

Yea, this is bad. She's obviously having some problems and has for some time.
Isn’t she, uh, quite unwell? There was the whole... butthole licking/boat purchasing thing recently. I think she needs help, not mockery.
That is such a bad faith response. And a provocative and unnecessary acceleration that is not thoroughly thought out.
The simple and obvious fact of the matter is that male actors don’t compete with female actors for female roles, and female actors don’t compete with male actors for male roles. (Well, they might compete for “Unnamed Nurse” or “Judge Smith,” but those roles don’t lead to awards nominations.) Ergo, different categories…
Simple and obvious solution.
More complicated is the argument that collapsing the categories would actually take away opportunities for women and gender-nonconforming performers to be recognized
I never understood the idea that Kate Winslet isn’t crazy attractive. Even in Mare of Easttown they tried really hard to make her look kind of old, tired and rough looking, but a bunch of times it would be like “nope it’s still Kate Winslet and still super hot”.
Bitter assholes who feel entitled to women’s bodies and mad when they can’t control them.
Just neckbeard mouth breathers. She wasn’t rail thin but it’s not like she wasn’t also stunningly beautiful
Yeah, this is not the job where you’re writing the copy that goes on the Chobani label. It’s crafting every message that leaves the C-suite, basically. For a large corporation, it should be paid somewhere in that ballpark. The more remarkable thing is that the job was advertised on LinkedIn at all. This is more of a…
I’m pretty sure that the problem is people seem more likely to watch and enjoy a movie about a man who is supposed to be unlikable than a movie about a woman who is supposed to be unlikable.
The problem is that it’s okay for men to be unlikeable, to the point that the “flawed male antihero” (read: this guy’s a jerk) has become a major cliche.
Normally I would be against this but:
1. Walmart is still the bigger beast in this fight.
2. Kroger is a union store and while my experience with the local chapter of the union was not great it does offer a lot of protections that stopped working there from being a total nightmare.
This morning on Cracked (too lazy to fix Kinja links, I’m sure a search engine could get you there), a pair of article headlines back to back:
I just eat bread constantly to regulate all of my emotions.
I used to eat these for lunch in high school (Edsel Ford, Dearborn Mi). Loved em. I thought everyone knew about pep rolls.
Is there room on that bandwagon for me?
I don’t understand this show and refuse to find out anything about it. Thanks for reading everybody
Have read that carbs stimulate serotonin too, so it’s a form of self-medicating when depressed or anxious. Mmm. Carbs.
