The opening of that episode, through Tommen’s leap, is maybe the greatest thing ever shown on screen, of any size.  It’s just perfect in every way.

Oddly, I only mostly liked Ragnarok. For me, it was too funny, too irreverent, too on-the-nose with musical cues. Which was all great in those moments, but when there were moments of seriousness or sadness to be had, they felt so out of place and jammed in that they carried no emotional weight for me.

My dude, I’ve never even watched sports, or until this very moment, written the word. Indeed, until I read this article, I was not aware that sports existed.

Honestly, how can any legitimate writer use the phrase “allegations he has been unfaithful” with a straight face?  May as well write about “allegations that the sky is blue” or “allegations that Trump spends most of his time gorging on Fox News and McDonalds.”  

I mean, it’s been a sadly accurate portrayal of American history toward black people.  So there’s that.

The show will end when Nymeria comes roaring across the plains, ridden by Tony Soprano in his little napoleon outfit. They successfully defeat the White Walkers with dog-bites and gun-shots, thus concluding the two greatest HBO shows ever in wholly satisfying fashion (finally).

They also still wield an inordinate amount of political power in this country.
