Creating a reputation shouldn't be the purpose of kickstarter, really. There are plenty of ways for individuals to break into the industry. Developing / being part of an indie team, for example, is the type of thing someone could put on their "kickstarter resume" that would convince people. Being on the team of a…
The thing is, the risk is very small, which is the point. When you have a risk spread like this, and other micrcoredit markets, it's really NOT that big of a deal to lose $10-25. Yeah it sucks, but you have to price that risk into your commitment.

"Because if you're not losing ten grand, who cares?" This is kind of obvious.
Development costs actually shouldn't balloon as much as they did going from ps2 - 3 or xbox - 360...
Looks really cool. So much cool stuff happening in F2P / Online games. Between this, FireFall and PSO2 and the many other crazy things going on that I've forgotten the names to... I'm overwhelmed almost.

We can't just demand every game be made supporting a secure online experience, offline experience, player hosted servers, and LAN... At some point, the developer decision to make a game has to be respected without calling it a slap…
I always loved lumines... IMO, if you like the tetrisy puzzle games with quality music it's fantastic in all of its incarnations.
Never liked Aaron Sorkin's shows or movies. Any of them really... GF liked Sports Night for a while.
Hey man. I saw Kino no Tabi, episode 10 - A story of Mechanical Dolls...
