Blood Omen 2 was released on xbox, which I never really touched.

Yeah, it's much less bashable now. While they made some changes that turned me off around 1.14 or something, I will definitely check out 2.0...

Blood omen was 2 gens ago, man! Showing your age!

Reminds me of a 3 line sign that used to be over the microwave where I went to school:

So, has anyone tried the PSO2 open beta? It's evidently still in Japanese, but, I've heard some good things and would love to see some opinions on it!

Sort of, but there isn't really a better term to separate the "core" gamers: people who see it as a hobby and play games for a primary form of recreation, from "casual" gamers: people who play games to pass the time because they don't have anything else to do.

Most of these comments are proof positive that people don't actually read entire articles.

The only deterrent is to not make "social" games where people play as a collective, and instead force people to either play by themselves or with groups of people they already know. But the social experience is one of the driving forces behind most of these games, and removing that aspect would be antithetical to the

Not it's not mostly single player. One of the primary features of Diablo (the original) was the online play. Diablo 2 took it to the next level by having more secure online environment in the realms. Diablo 3 is just a pure online game. Some people refuse to accept that.

That wouldn't work.

The problem isn't really with fraudulent accounts using the RMAH. The problem is with them being used as farming bots and spam bots, which have a negative impact on other people directly.

But it is everyone's problem. It sucks, but people using stolen credit cards affects everyone in the game when they cheat. It actively ruins the game.

The problem is, if they do that, then the hackers / botters can do all their damage with their stolen CC accounts before they get banned. Hackers were buying several accounts, and using them as intermediaries, bots and all sorts of unsavory things.

It's really not that much of a horror story. If this type of thing bothers you so much, there's always retail. They really are protecting the integrity of the game by doing this. It's not just some arbitrary anti-consumer decision. They likely hate that they have to take these types of measures.

Sadly it's kind of necessary. If you went to best buy to get the retail version, you would be pretty unlikely to be using a stolen credit card. It could be possible, but it's unlikely.

Blizzard is definitely not stocking the ah or rmah with choice gear. There's no evidence of it happening, and there's not enough "godly" gear on the rmah to raise any eyebrows.

But if currency is still valuable in game, it remains a viable alternative to the RMAH, and players can sell and buy items via the AH.

It's actually really difficult for say, a chinese hacker to use stolen credit card account numbers to buy boxed copies of retail Diablo 3. It's very easy for them to buy digital copies with stolen card numbers, by comparison.

Makes sense.

Totally agree. I can now literally farm any monster in A3 (don't have to skip soul rippers anymore). Gold drops cover my repairs, and anything else I find that's usable or saleable is good.
