If that was your goal I think there should have been less emphasis on how this event can’t be farmed for money and why that’s bad. You explain how the event works, explain why you can’t make any money from it, then have one paragraph comparing it to other events and showing why they were more interesting.

It really saddens me that everything in this game is being analyzed through some sort of min/maxing lens. It’s not just Kotaku. Unless a seasonal event or new bug type brings with it a new get rich scheme, it gets bashed as a waste of time. In an entire game about slowing down and appreciating the changes that come

lorded over by the most insidiously craven capitalist in animalkind, but Tom Nook

a skeleton buried with all the trappings of a successful viking warrior - its weapons, its armor, i think even its horse - was recently determined to be female. i hope the ghost of that woman haunts every man who gets mad at women in games

I am one of the grown men who plays a woman in every game it’s possible. Male protagonists are so often “grr super angry man” and I much prefer quicker, more agile characters (which is often how games split up any physical aspect). In addition, I can almost guarantee the voice acting will be better, and I have to play

Historical Accuracy? Mate, there are Female Vikings.

I’m a grown man that plays as a female character in just about any game in which I have the option (save for a few games where romancing characters is a key feature of the game and where that choice would force me into romancing male characters). I personally don’t think people should find that disturbing.

I know so many grown men playing as female characters in ALL games where it’s possible, that it’s more disturbing than letting a woman help identify with her own character in said games.”

The “historical accuracy” argument only seems to pop up when there are women or minority characters in game, or there is a lack of NAzi symbols in a game. Weird how that works.

He’s terrifying and I’m not a huge fan of his mini-game. I’m only... 6 days in at this point? I’m still farming materials every day. I don’t need ever third tree hit to be an egg, I need wood! I need ore!

By the people who care way too much about digital pantsu... by regular folks its pretty well received.

Linearity is also not binary. Games are not “linear” or “nonlinear.” They don’t even exist on a line of linearity. Metroidvania games essentially have a “webbed” world: Players traverse down increasingly connected paths that ultimate link up to each other. That’s been JRPGs for a large sum of its history. It is a such

Why do we need to go back in time to rehash a bad game yet all the while attempting to make it “not so bad” 10 years later?

But yes, I started with WC2 back in the mid 90's.

Have you actually played Warcraft or WoW? Thrall?

But if that what’s make him happy then it’s fine, it’s his way of living life, not everyone has to live a life that suits your definition of what it means to live a life.

Because legal precedents are important for corporations, and in the USA, intellectual property is very much a defend-it-or-lose-it system.

I’m kinda surprised this game is catching on as much as it has. This game is harder to penetrate than the 3DS games out of the gate and is missing most of the stuff that made Awakening so popular to a casual audience. And it’s not like it has much that appeals to classic FE fans either. Plus there’s a ton of tedious

If you’re making a portfolio piece, or trying to get your name out there like this artist, you’re going to make your design as attractive as possible. Man the overreaction on this is hilarious.
