At least this sort of hedonistic display of wealth I can accept. It beats buying a newspaper and then overriding the editorial boards...

I’m impressed and disgusted at the same time.
of course they did.
Dear ultra-rich: You are private citizens and subject to the same regulations as all private citizens, which means that if you use US airspace, its public information. Please learn to deal with that.
Your privacy as a member of social media platforms however is up for sale.
In theory, they are right about it posing a risk. Guillotine time is coming, and every billionaire on the planet is feeling their neck itch, but they are wrong about how they can avoid it. Suppressing information on them only hastens its arrival. The way to avoid it is... stopping doing all that sort of shit. It is so…
Is it the lighting or the fading into black that makes that pink look awfully purple?
Because there are communities wrapped around these facilities. You don’t want to be raining hot lead and aircraft parts on your neighbors.
How many civilian drones are 20 feet long?! Or am I just completely out of the loop with drone technology? 😂
I’ll add. Anything remotely affiliated with Elmo Musk. The Cuckold in Chief.
I like the VW guy willing to ignore anyone saying they have had not VW problems as simply being lucky, but not willing to entertain the idea that the bad VW experiences he has had may just be him being unlucky.
Maybe the Red Bull hasn’t kicked in yet, but the two-door Jeep take doesn’t seem to explain why you shouldn’t buy specifically a two-door Jeep. I mean, the entire answer could be applied to any 4x4, truck, or vehicle often bought as a status symbol.
If the dealership isn’t listening? Shouldn’t you arrest the people responsible at the dealership instead of ticketing people who aren’t reaponsible for this issue whatsoever?
If the policeman suspected the vehicle was stolen and called a wrecker to take the vehicle to the police lock up, I would agree. But the policeman knew who owned the vehicle and decided to penalize an innocent party. Obviously, campaign contributions keep the dealership free from any penalties for breaking the law.
I agree that there’s a difficult line to draw on safety - a broken turn signal? well no one with a BMW uses one anyway, so just mail the fix-it ticket. A single broken brake light? not sure. 2 brake lights out? definitely a safety issue.
A lot of denials from the dealer that fucked up. I don’t know if this is a reoccurring issue or not, but it seems like if the dealer had offered to correct the problem properly for the customer we wouldn’t be hearing about it. So I’m going to go ahead and believe that a dealer in Texas has been playing fast and loose…
“Safety Issue” = Underworked cops with a ticket quota
“A number of traffic stops conducted every day are for “pretextual” crimes like a burnt out taillight bulb or not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign”
An international treasure if you will!
John Oliver is a national treasure.
