It didn’t do well in occupant safety either bud according to the full report linked above.

Reading appears to be a skill that’s fading away.

It also has marginal to poor occupant protection, if you read the report.

Maybe this will serve as a reminder that these don’t make good family sedan replacements.

I watched a man get killed in a crosswalk last week. He had the right of way, driver took a right on red.  It’s not usually the pedestrians fault when they get hit.

There are approaching 6,000 pedestrian fatalities a year in the US alone. Do you not think there should be efforts to reduce that number?

Forget electronics or stars, the front impact rating is 50%.
Which is downright terrible for a new car sold by a major manufacturer.
The re-styled Fiat Panda (a model from 7 years ago) scored 45%.
A good car scores 90% or better (I’m always talking about front impact ONLY).
Even the new Suzuki Jimny (same body on frame

I agree the pedestrian protection score shouldn’t weigh so much in the final mark, but your argument is really short-sighted.

Their are blind and deaf people crossing the streets, old people who can’t walk fast, children who won’t look before storming off of the sidewalk. These people do not “deserve to be hit for

It’s definitely no. 2. Verizon is burning the house down for the insurance money.

At this point, the only question is whether they’re apocalyptically stupid and genuinely think that if they ditch the “undesirable” 90% of their userbase then new people will simply flow in to replace them (presumably attracted by the total lack of content or people)...

When you look at the state of the road and bridge infrastructure, what gives you confidence anything will be invested in getting the power grid ready for this?

This is more plausible when you remember how long VW’s _first_ engine design lasted.

That’s the only thing I will give Chevy credit for. At least their headlights are higher than the roof of my car like Ford.

You forgot about the Overly Intense Headlights that shine in your back window day or night right at eye level for anything less intimidatingly tall. I have to shade my rear view mirrors with my hands so that I can see.

Here’s some important questions:

They have gone gone full Ford Heavy Duty.

Forget the arms, race, the HP race, the torque race. We have entered the who-has-the-biggest-headlamps race.

Yo dawg...we heard you like lights. So we lit your lights with lights so you can see your lights.

Here. Have some eye bleach.

They're stopping production of a bunch of cars and laying off thousands of employees...for this? What an ugly piece of garbage.

I blame Ford for starting this shit.
