Great song. This year is killing my youth and my musical gods.

That guitar wails. Prince was the among greatest musical artists. Fifteen instruments, self taught. Brilliant. He owned it. Eric Clapton said he was the best.

And, Manic Monday, which Prince wrote for The Bangles on during a flight after he was was approached from coach seating. A brief show of fandom and later a flight attendant walked back with a cocktail napkin upon which he’d penned the lyrics for the new and as yet unknown band.

Goodnight, Sweet Prince.

And vice versa.

Sometimes, and hopefully in this case. But sometimes it fuels the rage. Don't mean to be negative, but sometimes anger follows grief.

Thanks for posting this. Second lines are a long traditionally held way to respect a person’s passing for those who may not know. Mournful music marks the march to the gathering site with joyous music on the return. Hopefully, it will be a peaceful celebration of Smith’s life.
