I watched the movie and I’m glad I did. I thought it was well done and while I knew about what Harvey did and his trials, the movie gave me more background information on what he was accused of. Worth a watch and I don’t regret spending $10 to see it in theater. 

They needed to wait at least 5 years before making this movie. Making it now just sounds like self-congratulatory Oscar bait that may appeal to critics but no one actually wants to pay money to see. 

It’s true. The book was good...not good enough to justify a movie. Sometimes books are well-plotted enough to make good movies even if they’re not that good themselves (looking at you, John Grisham) but She Said wasn’t one of those.

I agree, but I’m pretty sure the Catholic Church knows that if it takes away the symbolism, it will be left with jack shit.

She Said was a difficult book to read knowing that POS was guilty of every last detail. I can only imagine the movie might be triggering for the -

Hollywood making a movie about taking down Weinstein leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Very tone deaf and self congratulatory. 

B: that film should have gotten an award for the “most wasted food in a film”; between knocking dinner onto the floor every night, the only thing actually being eaten in the film was Florence Pugh’s character.

I’m waiting on She Said because of depressing news fatigue.

I think that people want to see these “prestige” movies, but they are perfectly content to wait to see them on their home screen. I thin they should release in theaters for a short time for awards consideration, and then quickly make available to rent via streaming services.
