Yup. But I do think middle class folks are willing to spend more on certain luxuries for their kids now. I routinely see 5-year-olds getting mani/pedis and 10-year-olds getting highlights. My regular-earner friend (who lives with her parents) gets Taylor Swift tickets for her tween every time she tours.

I keep forgetting this isn’t a Ted Lasso subplot.

He might have changed anyway due to aging, depression (Perhaps triggered by said head injury), and many other comorbidities that are not uncommon at age 76. I am a healthcare…

Me too. I think personality changes are so broadly indicative of dementia and aging, that it will be tough to prove his sparkle diminished due to this singular event.
