I knew the Carters were a troubled family, but I guess I never read it all at once. I just did an internet deep dive and yikes. (Not that being from a troubled family excuses being a rapist.)

Currently living in TX. Sadly, we had a family annihilator in our neighborhood. I am extremely shocked he just received a life sentence instead of the death penalty.

You are not missing much. It’s kind of like a Lifetime movie stretched over multiple seasons with a bigger wardrobe and location budget. I can see how some people enjoy the escapism of it, but the writing is just too bad for me. Kate Walsh deserves better.

Dwight had some neurodivergent traits, but I agree it was not autism.

I saw an off-broadway musical parody of the Office that pokes fun at some of the show elements that have aged so poorly.

Yup. There is such a pervasive unending narrative to be wary of the wrong shit. I’ve seen a lot of stuff on social media about how parents no longer allow their kids to attend sleepovers— because you never know what creeps might be at the other home. Ok this is fair enough.

I’m going to go ahead and somewhat disagree that nepotism without talent can only take you so far. It has taken some people straight to the White House.

So I worked in home healthcare and did an epic fall while wearing Dansko clogs. I stepped into the home and slipped into a forward split right in the threshold. The lady training me laughed so hard she had to leave the room. Needless to say my beautiful clogs were switched for boring old sneakers. 

Has anyone tried those creepy toe spreaders for bunion relief? I have outside-edge of the foot bunions, instead of normal ones. My ring finger toes are also curling under. I’ve been told it’s because most shoes have narrow toe boxes and the toes get smushed. 

Isn’t it weird how parents (more so moms) are widely criticized for every little tiny decision they make.  

I just looked up some of them. Absolutely horrifying. She heavily spanked a 2 year old for “trashing his room”. It sounds like she’s talking about a teen and not a toddler. What kind of ridiculous expectations did she have? That poor kid.

Anyone grow up in a huge family? My dad is oldest of seven. They have some fun stories, but he was a built in babysitter and no one ever went to his school sports games. The loud kids who misbehaved inevitably got most of the attention. He moved out very young because there just wasn’t space for him.

I am in no way defending Kate Gosselin, but I remember reading Collin was consistently violent and hurting some of his other siblings. I am not sure if that was true or if Kate embellished it because she could not deal with a defiant child.
