It is for me because of Xenoblade Chronicles X and a few other Wii U exclusives released since its launch. I always get Nintendo console mainly for the new Zelda games but there are still other games that I want on their consoles. I have 40 Gamecube and Wii games mostly Nintendo and Square Enix.

The game runs at 60FPS, actually most games Nintendo has made for the Wii U and 3ds run at 60FPS.

Having more smart phone games put on 3ds is a good thing. It makes Nintendo money at almost not cost to them, makes relationships with new devs who might want to make a 3ds, and it could get phone gamers to buy a 3DS.
