Mrazek was never going to be the franchise goalie in Detroit. He has never had that level of “future prospect” about him. A solid guy who maybe gave Detroit 2 or 3 good seasons ... but the NHL is littered with goalies who were pretty great in year 1 (mostly in a part-time or late season role) who crashed back to earth…
