I like that pattern! I have lots of quilting cotton around, which is suitable. I’ve been doing the no-sew folded versions, which hold up for the short shopping expeditions. Not as tailored or neat as the one in your video. I am fine with hand sewing, and if we have to start wearing masks in the long term, I will have

How many have you made? A colleague of mine was saying that she was tired of making masks out of the same green fabric. I asked her how many she had made, and she said “36". I have 2. I wash them in between wearing them. I think she is making them and donating them somewhere, but she loves to sew and I am not friends

I actually remember this very clearly; I was about 8 years old and visiting New York and I saw this cast at the Winter Garden theater on Broadway. It was so amazing for a little kid!

Too high to reply.

I prefer Pugs. It was a response to Cats...

I did bunny CPR this week and was unsuccessful after rescuing 2 baby bunnies from our dogs. WTF mama bunny, pick another yard without 3 giant bird dogs and 2 feral cats. We also found a dead fish crow that flew into the barn and must have crashed into a wall. Probably foreboding bad news coming my way...

Feeling blah about work, but so happy this week was significantly cooler than it was in other weeks. I found very little at the store I wanted (it was stocked! just weirdly not in my specific yogurt, drinks, or beans... lol), BUT, I did find Charmin in the wild for the first time since February! I bought a mega-pack

Hey ya’ll! (was trying to find a person waving but this showed up first and it was hypnotic) Happy Saturday night! Totally missed making Fuck It Friday but saw someone did so yay!!! I had to go in to Cleveland Clinic for some stomach pain issues I’ve been having (full on mask-wearing and forehead temp check before I

Longtime SNS lurker with a situation that has been bothering me for a while. I am a college professor and a good friend/colleague had been using my office for a weeks (obviously this was pre-covid, around the beginning of the semester) while I was on leave. When I got back and went to my computer, I found (without

All I have to say today is that anyone who says "cheer up" to someone who's in a bad mood deserves a tongue lashing.

I am struggling lately. I got my dream job (after 3 years of trying and being rejected). It’s a huge step forward, but I only found out after everything was locked down, so I haven’t really gotten to celebrate. I’ve told my friends and family, but the virtual nature of communication makes it seem much less joyous.

My friend came over last night. We sat out on the porch more than six feet apart. Not as good as being able to cook together or go out for drinks, but better than nothing. I think next week we might fire up the fire pit in my yard I’ve never used.

I had to have an orphaned raccoon kit euthanized this week. Mom didn’t come back after two nights and all the rehab places are closed, so there was really no choice, but it was very sad. There was no way I could have raised it myself, aside from it being illegal.

Theater Update! The auditions (via Zoom, which made me feel like Alice during the Brady Bunch opening) went well, with very few glitches, and I got cast! We’re doing Twelfth Night, and I am Fabian - friend of Sir Tobias Belch, co-conspirator, and ultimately peacemaker. Also the second part I’ve been cast for that’s

Well, after weeks of agonizing over my decision and feeling like a shitty person, I finally asked my partner for a temporary separation...and promptly got thwarted by the pandemic.

CATS and the surrounding press and reviews are the only thing that got me through busy holiday time at work. Between the 25 Days of Cats and then the spectacular reviews of the movie. It got bad enough that I accidentally made a CATS joke on a tour at work.

WHAT’S THE WORD? Our local bar (not the only one, but the only one we go to) is reopening with very limited capacity and roped-off socially-distanced seating on their huge outdoor space, so we’re gonna swing by and have a drink if people are actually following the guidelines ... and if they aren’t, we’ll pick up a

Hey fellow Jezzies! Music thread again, what’s got your feet moving recently? Another new song from a new pop album that I can’t stop listening to... I hope everyone is staying safe and taking good care of themselves!

I don’t care how much pot I smoke, it’s never going to be enough to make Cats interesting or good. Hardest pass ever.
