I’m surprised you wrote this article without even touching on the Ringer’s relationship with HBO. Unless I completely missed it, they regularly disclose that HBO was an initial investor in the site without ever explaining whether there’s a current relationship. It’s really grown on me. The writing and voice acting are really above-par for a children’s show, and it’s neat how they shift antiquated tropes about the stiff-upper-lip British Navy to cute stories about cartoon animals.
