You really should, and not just because these days it represents a much bigger percentage of the canon than it used to. The first couple seasons can be a little rough in places (and the movie/pilot is just awful), but it’s more than worth it. I think Luke knew that the only people who’ve seen him in decades have are Rey and Chewie. So he made himself look younger and stronger because he knew he was also putting on a good show for the galaxy as inspiration.

The plotting itself in Act 2 was pointless. What Rian Johnson was trying to do (I’m not sure I totally agree with his decisions) was take the usual harebrained Star Wars convoluted Hail Mary hero plan and make it fail. And fail spectacularly.

I thought the kid thing was supposed to be less of an audience surrogate and more of a little- ‘anybody can be a jedi. it doesn’t end with rey’ thing.

I might be the only one, but when Leia was watching all those rebel soldiers being slaughtered in that one battle with the storm troopers, I thought it seemed a little out of character for her to say, “I think there is blame on both sides.”
