Is... is that how much it’s worth?
You mean December 2020 on Xbox and January 2021 on PC, so each version has been on Game Pass for just over a year, or double your recommended duration.
You are correct - although it’s a little confusing because there seems to be a lot going on.
If it was amazing at the time, how wasn’t it even that good?
You just described an abusive relationship.
They could just put this info in the splash screen that appears when you launch a game (or do games load so quickly on the Series X that splash screens don’t exist anymore?).
It is odd, considering how many FF games have been remade, remastered or ported to other systems, especially in the last 5-10 years. I’d say maybe Square Enix doesn’t care about Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, except they just said they consider FFVII Remake part of it.
Oh, so it’s technically not available on Vita? The whole time I was reading this article I was thinking “Why not just get a Vita?” It’s actually a pretty great console, especially if you like RPGs, because not only are most of its exclusive games RPGs but it's also ideal for grinding in PS4 games using remote play.…
I feel your pain. Obviously this is a first world problem that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but it’s strange times we’re living in when you go to Amazon to try to order a copy of a game that’s been out for a week and it just says “Currently unavailable”.
Not necessarily. We all know that the Remake isn’t the whole game, just the first part, Midgar, so it’s a given that the ending is going to be different - until you play it, you don’t know exactly when or how it ends. Does it culminate with the Shinra HQ battle, cutting the Midgar section a bit short, or does it end…
That’s how I feel too! I was probably going to play it anyway at some point, but probably after subsequent parts had been announced/released and the price had dropped, or I could get the complete collection, or whatever.
I love it! I always say there's no point in doing a remake if it's basically the same. The best way to good to do something new and different that can coexist with the original, and this does that perfectly.
WHY WOULD YOU CLICK ON AN ARTICLE ABOUT A GAME YOU WERE TRYING TO AVOID SPOILERS FOR?!?!?
Yeah there’s a concern it won’t be finished at all because at this point there’s no indication they even have a plan.
Going to be honest - I’ve never played Galaxy, despite owning a Wii. I had Sunshine but I don’t think I ever finished it. And I’ve never played SM64 because I’ve never had an N64 and didn’t get around to it on the DS. So I think all the Mario games I’ve played are 2D or 2.5D ones, apart from Odyssey, but I loved that…
I was talking about Super Mario 3D World, the Wii U game - as I said, it’s one of the few remaining Wii U exclusives and it was expected to follow hot on the heels of New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe but it’s been over a year without an announcement so it’s about time.
Thank you for the really clear explanation! So basically I’m not missing out on anything if I stop my search for a 360/PS3 copy and just play Replicant when it’s released, but if I did I’d get a slightly different version of the story.
Yes please. Super Mario 3D World is one of the few remaining Wii U games that hasn’t been ported to Switch, so it would make sense to do that even if no one’s asking for it. But if they then go back and do Super Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy and Galaxy 2 that would be pretty great.
