Yeah, I'll be watching it for the return of '90s Jim Carrey.

A prequel is something that is set before but released after the thing that it’s a prequel to.
There was a zombie like that in the last season of TWD. One thing I love about the show is that there are always really creative zombies where weird things have happened to them, and they’ve all gotten more decomposed and disgusting as time has gone on/makeup and effects budgets have increased.
That doesn’t make any sense. I’m a huge TWD fan and I barely know who Chris Hardwick is. I’m aware of The Talking Dead but I’ve never seen it because it doesn’t air in the UK and I wouldn’t have any interest even if it did. I don’t think watching TWD makes anyone an apologist for him - he’s not in that show.
I still like it. I’m not sure at what point you think it became ‘hot garbage’ because there seems to be people who have hated every single season of it since it started. It’s had good episodes and bad episodes, good seasons and not so good seasons, and it’s made some questionable decisions with characters and plot,…
I’ve never been a professional screenwriter either, but I have studied them as part of a film course and taken at least one course in screenwriting (Syd Field’s books are pretty concise and tell you everything you need to know), and you’re pretty much spot on - a screenplay should be as bare bones as possible.
Was going to reply with the same thing. Not all movies use surround sound that effectively (if it’s mixed well it can be great - spaceships whizzing past you, scary noises during horror movies) but it can really be amazing in games. I had a 5.1 setup way back when San Andreas was released on the Xbox - I had already…
I agree with you on principle, but have you forgotten that he was a holographic doctor? He was installed as standard on all new Starfleet ships in the TNG/DS9/Voyager era, so he’s not just one doctor among 100,000, he’s everywhere. Of all the possible reasons for any previous characters showing up, his return would be…
Yeah, I like a good mix of long and short games - I will alternate between playing something that’s 8-12 hours long with a tight narrative and a clear feeling of progression even if you only play an hour at a time (like I’ve just finished playing Metro 2033 and Last Light for the first time and it felt great to be…
And The Man in the High Castle
It’s hardly a story spoiler - why would you not expect the faction you chose in a strategy game to win? The story is how it happens - and there's 60 hours of that.
It's like "Holy shit, I never expected the faction I chose in a strategy game to actually WIN!"
Never mind - replied before I realized it had been edited!
Thank you! It’s pretty much the most irreverent show on TV, with definitely the most irreverent main character, so I just always figured that anyone who liked it liked it FOR it’s irreverence, but I guess apparently half the fans have been watching it like they were watching Friends and hoping Ross and Rachel would…
Yeah, just like E3 I don’t need to hear all about what’s expected to be announced, or watch hours-long panels with, like, three bits of information in them. I just need a TL:DR at the end so that I can see what interests me.
You’re not insufferable - I had the same thought so I’m glad someone else pointed this out and I’m not the only one. I wasn’t aware that, at any point, anyone thought that season 4 wasn't going to happen - it's just been a long wait, but even that was expected.
That was still a lot less than it was expected to make though - but I would say ‘tepid response’ was more likely referring to the critical reception.
Oh, sorry, I thought you were being flippant about the Switch. Yeah, my phone is 5.99" so only slightly smaller than the Switch but about half an inch bigger than the Switch Lite.
When I got a Switch, I thought I’d never use it handheld - I mean, who would want to play something as gorgeous as Breath of the Wild on a small, low res screen, which I’ve got a huge TV? But in actual practice, I’ve probably used it docked less than 10% of the time, because it’s the perfect console to play when…
That plays Pokemon.
