Coke Zero tastes way better than Diet Coke. Kind of hate I'm supporting this kind of advertising buying it, though.

This happens to me sometimes as a vegan, too. People say "we shouldn't worry about the problems animals have until all of the human problems are fixed." That's a real quote. Um, all the human problems? ALL THE HUMAN PROBLEMS!!!

The quintessential example of this, I think, was back in 2011, when the Norway attacks happened on the same day that Amy Winehouse was found dead. Soooo many people found it behooved them to post status updates along the lines of "Why are we wasting our time talking about a crack-addled fame whore when there are KIDS

Oh what's that? We should value and mourn all victims of violence equally, regardless of citizenship/location...by minimizing a traumatic, violent event because it didn't happen in a specific country? Fuck. you. Take your smug college 101 arguments and get the fuck out.

Yeah, I was rather offended by that Black Girl Dangerous post that we shouldn't care about marriage equality because corn. A few of my friends linked to it, friends who are always posting pro equality things and even changed their FB avatars.

I received my state ID in the mail about 3 days ago. I cried when I opened the envelope and held it in my hand. I felt like such a pansy. It's a big deal to me, since I didn't think I would be able to qualify for one any time soon, since I wasn't born here (the US) and don't have the immigration status to apply for

So I have been reading comments for awhile but this is my first time posting. (I know. Cliche) But I need advice and people on here seem to care.

Ugh, writing a 10 page paper due Monday. I AM THE WORST PERSON. Does anyone know a social theorist that I could use to observe the effects of Hitler's Germany (and the Holocaust) on a Jewish community in Germany? No? Okay. It's the end of the semester so I'm in summer mode already.

I'm watching my 2.5 year old niece for the night. She is the cutest thing in the world, especially her love for my boyfriend. She talks about him all the time, then when he comes over she gets all shy. he has been around since she was less than a year old. Do you think she should call him "uncle"? It was a matter of

Ugh i am tired of ignorant Americans not understanding why a lot of people in the UK hate Margaret Thatcher and claiming we are hating on her because she is a women and how people should have protested against her when she was in power ( seriously, Google all the riots that happened especially the Brixton Riots

"The pimps in question are not violent, depraved thugs"

How are they not violent, depraved thugs? They weren't suspected of being so because of the demographic they happened to be a part of, but the label applies as much as it would to anyone else beating, kidnapping, threatening, and trafficking young girls.

Jez, I am proud of you!!

I generally date Hispanic men. I'm a white woman born and raised in southern New Mexico. It definitely relates to geography. I'm not particularly attracted to white men, but in my region most of the white men fall outside my social area.

I agree with you, but I think some people are more susceptible to a lifetime of media conditioning that makes interracial couples almost non-existent, and pretty much makes a tall skinny blonde the 'height' of sexiness on earth. If we were to suddenly eliminate the media, for example, and allow today's babies to grow

I think it's what people want to hear and like to think they are tolerant etc but when push comes to shove, excuses will pop up.

I think most people when asked would say they're okay dating outside their race. I think most people when asked would also say they're not racist. It's socially expected and it's what people want to hear. They may even believe it themselves. However, it doesn't mean it's true.
