The new season of “Antics With the DeSantics” is now streaming!

Sure, the main cast of those shows were each getting $1m/episode at one point. But the episodes still didn’t cost $30m each, even in 2022 dollars.

It’s a shame they couldn’t get Billy Joel to redo “Tell Her About It”, I’m sure a catchy jingle like that would’ve kept the network afloat for a few more hours.

Give me my last season of GLOW, you bastards! Shave five minutes off of one midseason episode of Stranger Things!  I don’t care how Eleven gets back from Chicago!

At this point, the only people talking about ‘wokeness’ are conservatives who are many years late to the party. It’s like your uncle making a TikTok video and asking “Dude, where’s my car?”

This reminds me of that great scene in Beginners, where Christopher Plummer is writing down notes by the phone. “House.... music.”

I’ve read the Brownstein and Zauner books (the latter was especially good), as well as some of the below suggestions (Gordon, Doughty, and ‘Our Band Could...’)  I used to write for a short-lived web series about a touring band (“The All-for-Nots”) and I love a good ‘bad gig’ story.

The Dinosaur Jr chapter is especially good and/or harrowing.

I’ve watched the Oscars every year for the last couple of decades, and even though a lot of times it’s boring or cringeworthy, I still like the act of celebrating filmmaking, and sometimes you get an amazing upset like with Parasite. I was really not crazy about moving so many of the awards before the ceremony, but I…
