That’s awesome! Though as a committed northerner, calling her the Virginia rather than the Merrimack just feels wrong (even if it makes sense).

I’ve refreshed my S60 with parts from three other S60s, plus an S80. Nothing major though, just bits of trim and such.

Ooh, I would love for my car to show me a different rev limit with temperature. Though I’d like even more for it to just automatically protect itself unless I hit some override.

But this article is about dropping LED bulbs into halogen reflectors, not HIDs into halogen projectors? The LEDs might still not be quite right for the reflector, but it’s still a better situation.

IIRC, it does reasonably well in front and rear crash tests, but isn’t great in side impact tests.

Which doesn’t make the penalty out of line, it just means he’s a moron for jeopardizing his income by being way out of line.

For some sense of scale:

Sorry you have to put up with this stuff, but glad to see it mocked. I’ll admit I miss Dead Letters (and of course the rest of Deadspin).

But yeah, the DC Metro isn’t too bad. Wish it ran later.

No way to know yet. Florida has said they are going to appeal the full circuit court, and nothing will happen until that is resolved. Additionally this ruling only affects a few specific individuals, not the broad class, though it they prevail, there will certainly be other, quickly resolved lawsuits.

Yeah, a human driver might not be fooled by that 3, but you could definitely make a fake speed limit sign that would fool them (assuming the road was at least somewhat manageable at that speed)

I found driving on I-81 through Virginia especially troubling since the speed limit there is 70 but Virginia’s reckless driving law kicks in at 80 regardless of the limit (I think this is still the case, last I read they tried to update it but the law didn’t pass). That’s not much margin for driving even a little over.

How sad. Oh well, at least you didn’t do that work in Hong Kong for nothing...

You visited Jason? Were you able to get the Scimitar running? Could you at least get the hood open without too much trouble this time?

But not 93 in a 55:

I ordered a Ring 2, and the unit I got had a defective mic. Amazon agreed to replace it without hassle. The replacement was lost in shipping so they replaced that as well (for some reason the first Amazon rep I dealt with regarding that was not helpful, wanting me to call the warehouse, but I chatted later and that

My 2006 Volvo (not really that modern anymore) wants me to check every 2 years/15,000 miles:
