Dave’s a good guy, but his usefulness is rapidly running out. His opinions have the most value early in the season.

They are 5-1 (they’ve had their bye). Their defense is excellent, but I’m not convinced their offense or special teams is any good at all. They do have an excellent chance to make the playoffs. If they can manage to play .500 ball the rest of the way, they will almost certainly be in, and even if they can only 4-6…

If you turn off your ad blocker you’ll be hearing crappy ads instead (I’m mostly getting those Sesame Street insurance commercials). Which of course would be the reason for the stupid autoplay videos. 

Also, there’s evidence to suggest that Buffalo isn’t actually good, despite their record. As of last week, Football Outsiders had them 19th by DVOA and 21st by DAVE.

Houston is the 5th largest metro area in the US. Washington is the 6th. I’m sure they’d have preferred to have the Yankees and Dodgers, but this is far from a disaster (especially since those bigger markets are split between multiple teams). I’m thinking that would be difficult, given the reaction time. Maybe not, but I don’t think it would be easy to catch (and I’m not sure they’d want to try, as a failed catch attempt is really bad, trying to get out of the way might be a better approach).

It was cold last night. That makes a big difference in how far a ball carries.

Honestly I’ve always wondered if kickers are skilled enough to do this intentionally. Especially with the new rules in the NFL making onside kicks nearly impossible, drilling it as hard as you can at the closest member of the receiving team doesn’t seem like terrible strategy.

Just like basically every sport, motorsports are dealing with the fact that people have an ever-broadening array of entertainment options. Watching (racing, but also everything else) at home has become a much better experience, and that is inevitably making everything a bit a more niche. 

Well the thing is that Kim is probably the only one who matters, so if he were going to lose power (probably resulting in his death), it doesn’t much matter if the rest of the country would be nuked in retaliation, because it’s all the same to him.
