The NFL averages something like 25 rushes/game/team these days (and that includes rushes that are there to run out the clock, qb scrambles, etc.) If you need more than a full games worth of rushes to see that it’s not effective, you are doing something wrong.
That is not how the running game works. In fact there is significant evidence that backs get tired as the game goes on much faster than they tire out defenses. What does happen is that burning clock late game is useful (if you are winning).
It’s really not clear how true that is. I mean obviously an effective run game will take the pressure of the passing game some, but I don’t think there’s clear evidence that running ineffective run plays helps with much of anything. Feels like a lot of that sentiment is tied to the idea that good teams run more, but…

This is all true, but there’s no reason anyone should be making less than minimum wage just because they are working part time. I don’t think the answer is to shut down Uber or Lyft or anyone else though, the answer is that they should be ensuring people get that minimum, plus forcing companies to pay a prorated…
Well their ultimate approach is to hope all this cheap labor gets replaced by even cheaper automation. Uber is basically hemorrhaging money on self-driving research, and is hoping they have something viable before the VC cash runs dry.
