Than you for pointing this out. One cannot underestimate how important sightlines are! After 16 years of driving 3 different model years of a VW Sportwagon, I switched to a new make and cannot get over how terrible the visibility is! When I look over my shoulder to back up, I can’t see anything for a good 40-50% of my

This article really sums up this site these days: clickbait headlines, garbage articles that are purely speculative. Nothing better than a blog site that covers random videos on the internet. Can you at least wait until we get a look at production version of these before you start pumping out the anti-Tesla headlines?

I fail to understand why someone would want to make their taillights harder to see.

close enough I guess.

Jaws of life don’t really care about anything.  A small difference in the thickness of steel really doesn’t change much.  That being said hydraulic cutters or spreaders cost between $5k to $15k which is a lot to a small fire and rescue team so they may not be able to have that many on hand especially in a multi car

Is he expecting to be attacked by gangstas from Nottingham Forest or something?

People complaining about Tesla drivers has always baffled me. At least where I live, Tesla drivers are all very calm, defensive drivers, never excessively speed, etc.

Crumple zones are not built into the cabin. Crumple zones are in the extensions (engine bay, frunk area, truck bed, trunk). Doors don’t have crumple zones, they have side impact protection bars that perform the opposite of crumple zones. And Elon only talks about the cabin when he spews his bullshit about the

Maybe ‘they’ are just normal people, making sensible life choices. The car also has systems built to help, regardless of ones opinion on how perfect the system currently is relative to claims made about the systems ability. Tesla and Musk are no saints, but they are largely putting effort into things they deem

“couldn’t” care less. I was pissed off when someone corrected me, but then I realized I was saying and writing it wrong all my life.

x2 Tesla owner here. Everyone coming together on the same charging standard is a good thing, IMHO. My only concern is with the placement of the charging port on some non-Teslas, which may result in them taking two charging spots at once.

Given that Jalopnik knows nothing about cars, what makes you think they know anything about guns?

Subsonic doesn’t mean shit either. It’s all about inertial energy...

So uh... Depending on the arrowhead used, compound bows can have better penetration than 9mm bullets or even .22 bullets...

The Elon hate on Jalopnik is strong...

So what you’re saying is that it got you from A to B quickly and drama-free, and this is a horrible bad thing, and somehow doesn’t make it count as infrastructure? The cost of construction was a huge cost savings over expensive traditional infrastructure, less congested than surface traffic, and much quicker than

This swelling demand has forced some automakers to rethink their EV rollout.”

Also NY area resident so won’t argue the 335i plague. The other go to is the Altima. 3rd/4th gen are usually beaters and driven terribly. 5th/current gen driven like they are stolen and/or some sort of high performance car. Add a Maryland plate to the car and you have icing on the cake of shittyness. Pic cribbed from

As someone who’s on a bike a lot too I can’t stand fully blacked out windows. I can’t tell what the driver is looking it, if they’re seen me etc.

Ah yes, very car related.
