I think its lazy design more than anything. Other vehicles meet the same safety standards and have decent outward visibility.

LOL. If you want to buy a 2008 Chevy for $28K you could also get a clean C6 Z51 with an LS3.

I’ve sat in one and the first thing I noticed was outward visibility was crap. Small greenhouse and high belt line didn’t ender me at all.

Ok. But you said “hate”. Seems a bit extreme, no?

Subaru? Ahh, nope.

Saying “I hate bikers” because you “dislike a hobby of theirs” strikes me as just a tad sociopathic, or at minimum, unnecessarily hostile.

People who are genuinely financially comfortable often just pay cash, especially at current interest rates

You're late to the party, John.

I certainly agree that the average Joe accountant would have been charged sooner, probably within a day or two. I already said that earlier in the thread.

You have a valid point in that the whole incident speaks to suspiciously delayed prosecution without any answer as to “why” from those who should be held to a very high standard.

Oh, I’d enjoy driving that thing immensely.

So, did you read my follow-up comments, LexW?

Sure, I’ll give it a contrarian NP for that color and interior alone. It’s amusing to see a 38 year old grandpa car still exists in such pristine original shape.

To be fair, being a cop is literally the only civilian job where you might be put in a position where deadly force is necessary and legally justified.

So, did the union make any statements defending the guy’s actions?

Well, of course this cop should end up in prison, as should anyone doing such a heinous and reckless act.

So, the question is, why did the L.A. County prosecutor take so long to charge?

If it was “Accountant charged with murder after killing 12-year-old in 95-MPH crash in school zone” would you even bother writing this story?

It’s a short walk when you start with the perspective of “I hate bikers” to doing something that demonstrates your hatred of bikers, especially if one of them does something that you don’t think appropriate from your sanctimonious tough guy in a car perspective.

“i also hate bikers and their blatant disregard for traffic rules.”
