I don’t think it’s unique to Michigan at all. People only need to look at voting maps to see that. And I’ve lived in several other states where that was really obviously the case at a glance.

Coincidentally, I have an exceptionally low opinion of [people who live wherever it is you live.]

Rural areas are red in every state. don’t know why people think this is unique to Michigan. Plus, he’s from Romeo (an unincorporated village in rural northern Macomb County) so there’s a local connection with some people there.

I don’t know if they’re still there, but several years back driving through rural Michigan, I saw a barn with something like, “Kid Rock Please Help Us” painted on the roof. It wasn’t the only place with a message like that I saw. (I live in MI now, a very blue part.)
