This is the third time that Dana Carvey has popped up on my radar in the last 24 hours, all under a different context. Pretty good for someone the public hasn’t thought about for the past few decades.

My biggest issue with Skyrim was the way they treated magic as commonplace, but everyone was in awe of your shout powers. You can conjure fireballs and raise the dead without anyone raising an eyebrow, but you shout real loud and knock people back a few feet and they act like it’s some sort of next-level sorcery that…
When my oldest was three, he wanted to be a stop sign. I don’t know how he got that idea in his head, but he was determined. So my wife made him a stop sign costume, with a “slow” sign on the back, and I dressed up like a construction worker and carried him around all night.
Next thing you know, you’ll be trying to tell Kinja that not everything needs to be presented as a fabulous deal. Who cares if a belt is hideous; it contains no metal and is slightly discounted!
It’s SUPER fucking hard. I’m right there with you. My son is absolutely hypnotized by anything with a screen, and it terrifies me. It can be paused and he will still stare at it. He asked once if he could watch TV, and I said he could if I got to choose what he’s watching. I put it on one of those videos of a…
The real surprising part is that the Weinstein Company didn’t already cut ties with that movie, given the subject matter.
But Clickhole is still safe, right?
They should have offered her a bigger role so she would accept, and the replaced her with someone else without telling her, to see how she likes it.
I would say Paperboy is more timeless. Boxing may lose its appeal to the masses one day, but the printed news industry is here to stay.
Haha what? I said I want to know more. I didn’t say I want to pry it out of her. Maybe you should examine your motivations for immediately thinking that my desire to know more means that I want to force her into sharing that, instead of wishing that she had done so voluntarily.
Patton Oswalt was in Observe and Report, so that checks out.
Honestly, from where you stopped, it only gets worse. Every single character is aggressively unlikable, and never takes any steps towards redemption. I am unable to comprehend what anybody is supposed to get out of watching that show.
I did this with season 2 of Flaked, but only because I hate Flaked but cannot resist hate-watching it. And it was only 6 half-hour episodes. Also, don’t ever watch Flaked. You’re welcome.
Well, you can’t expect a major franchise like this to get EVERYTHING right. That would be greedy, just like the greedy guy Han Solo shot, whose name I cannot remember.
I’m not doubting that he’s an asshole, but it’s strange to just mention it without providing any details or context and then not talk about it again. What kind of bullying? Was he also sexually harassing her? Was it schoolyard bullying, like he would give her wet willies and noogies? I want to know more!
What’s up with the super weird aside about being bullied by Terry Gilliam?
It’s bad, but unless it comes out that he masturbated into a plant or whatever, this will end up being glossed over for the juicier stories about Harvey.
Raspberry-filled assholes are a really strange fetish.
Umm, she gave us a pretty big clue when she said it was a Danish director, considering she’s only ever worked with one. Why are we still pretending this is some big mystery? I think we all Encyclopedia Brown’d this one as soon as we heard about it.
We had a guy who drunkenly decided that, instead of walking in the door to his apartment building, he would climb up the construction they were doing on it to get in his window. Only it was locked, and he fell and literally impaled his ass on a piece of rebar. Dumbasses will always do dumbass things. And the rest of…
