I meant he was right in that it was not a good adaptation. But yeah, he handled it poorly.
It's a good thing there are like a dozen of them, so we can just sub in a better one.
Original Shining was the better movie, but Remake Shining was a better adaptation. Stephen King is right about Kubrick's version; it's phenomenal, but it's not good as an adaptation of King's book.
Are you the "Hello My Future Girlfriend" guy?!
There's a set of coordinates at the bottom. If you click on them, they show you…something. I did a search for the location, and it's in the middle of nowhere, South Dakota. More importantly, though, I learned that there is a town in South Dakota called Jolly Dump. I hope that becomes an important plot point.
He had two TV dinners and a soda…was anybody else trying to figure out what was in that bowl? It looked like pure egg yolk to me.
I wouldn't even call episode 22 the worst episode of the series. That honor goes to episode 23, which was the only episode in the series to include both James and Billy Zane, and also had Josie get turned into a knob.
Do we think this stuff with Jerry is going anywhere? I love the fact that not everything on this show happens for a reason, but it also drives me crazy that we may never get closure on some of this stuff. Is Jerry going crazy? Is that Josie humming at Ben (even though it sounds like the Major's metal capsule)? Will…
I'm not sure that trick is something anyone else could pull off, though. I'll be the first to admit that I have no attention span; I hardly ever watch a show or movie without doing something else simultaneously. But week after week, Twin Peaks captures my full attention. I can't watch a show about lady wrestlers…
It helps if you have a cool nickname.
The cult leader is a dude who insists everyone call him Vanguard, so at least his nickname is awesome.
Last I heard, Allison Mack was promoting a female empowerment group/cult/pyramid scheme called JNess. And I only know this because I was looking into it to see what its deal was*, and found her blog post gushing about it.
I'm always tempted to kill her, but I would feel too bad for Jun.
Anyone who can make it through that game without killing Travis right in the face is made of stronger stuff than I am.
I'm playing NieR: Automata right now. I got through the first ending yesterday and…is the 2nd playthrough just the first one all over again? Because I GUESS I'll trudge through that since I've heard it's worth it, but it's pretty disappointing.
I also do not understand why it's considered underrated. The characters were mostly forgettable. I never cared about the story at all. The best weapon in the game was lost if you happened to open a random treasure chest early in the game. The writers apparently thought that removing letters from the end of words…
Yeah, but I think we all…I think we ALMOST all saw it coming.
It's not as bad as "She Persisted, We Resisted," which, if you're being generous, sounds like the persistence is what's being resisted. If you're not being generous, it sounds like attempted rape.
There is a place in town that sells some amazing chicken called Crack Chicken. They mey actually put crack on it, I'm not sure. But it's good enough that I am willing to make the drive to the bad part of town, go into the unnamed fish market, and wait around smelling fish for 10 minutes just to get some. I may even…
