I keep telling my wife, we need to sell the house and our retirement fund and buy a Lambo and make YT videos.

Aaaaaah, Orange Julep. Whenever we’d visit Montreal that was our go-to place. Miss it terribly! There is nothing quite the same out west. :-(
I also don’t need Dove telling/showing me that I’m short and fat. I know that already... my wife tells me every day. ;-)
How I make my tea at work - we have a hot water dispenser so I will use that, but still boil the tea bag for another 1:00 or 1:30. At home I’ll use either tap water, or filtered water and boil the water for about 2:30 then drop a Tetley tea bag into it and allow it to seep for at lest 3-5 minutes.
Damn. That’s almost all I did today. Almost. ;-)
My Toyota Camry hit over 200,000km or about 124,000 miles. I’m sure it would have lasted another 3-4 years, but it was time for something new so I bought a Nissan Murano and dammit - I don’t see that on the list!
I’ve done this with pants - need to get them tapered. I might be a large guy, but my legs are not that large so can always count on spending at minimum another $30 to get the pants tapered so they look better.
Several companies that will custom make shirts for you for not much more than buying one off the shelf. I’m a big guy (19 - 20 neck size and 35/36 sleeves - about a 3xl or 4xl) and found that a custom made shirt is about $90 whereas buying off the shelf is about $60 - $70 (talking at Big ‘n Tall places).
Our work parties are actually pretty nice (about $70.00/head catered), and always off-site. With lots of prizes and a really good dinner, most people attend them.
That’s pretty damn obvious...
A lot of risks, but then isn’t that what an entrepreneur does and why he’s worth what he is? He’s betting a lot but has the energy and desire to see it through.
I love stringing these types of folks along. One time I got someone to call me 10x over the course of one-two weeks! It was a lot of fun... and I had nothing better to do.
I have compassion, but at the same time I am a realist. How is it what happened Cinemarks fault?
Wait ... what, you go bankrupt and put your employees out of jobs? WTF kinda thinking is that?!
Why??? They thought they could score easy $$$,$$$. They couldn’t, shouldn’t they pay up now? Isn’t that how the US legal system work? Capitalism? Amirite?
Devils advocate - why did the families think they would win??? Looks like their lawyers gave them very bad advice. I go to the movies, and have never seen security guards present... mind you, we don’t have the issue with guns you folks do down in the US.
I could not sell my Corsica. I had to give it away - but the people I gave it to knew what to expect and just needed something to get from A > B and were happy with it for a few years before they finally got rid of it and bought something else.
So true - I sold my Camry (2003) at just over 180,000 km on it. New owner LOVES it. My wife had a rebuilt Toyota Corolla which is now 10-years old and will sell for around $5k (I tried and had offers on it) but now doesn’t want to get rid of it. I’ve seen 20-year old Camrys’ on the road. They will outlast most of the…
That’s what I was thinking... didn’t one of the cops say he drives a Kia? Well there you have it. Why should someone else drive a performance car (and some expensive ones at that) while he drives a shitty Kia (well, maybe it’s not shitty...).
