My favorite "Dan vs. soccer" moment was when he referred to (IIRC) a 1-1 tie as "an offensive slugfest" and followed it up with "a modest proposal: make the nets bigger." Then Casey followed up, off-camera, with "How about smaller nets, no goalie?"

Yeah, that always confused the hell out of me. Kassidy says "Neither Jake nor I have ever felt unwelcome there" but she completely fails to mention ANY non-Terran (Worf especially, since he's kind of a twofer).

Isn't "The Never Ending Sacrifice" the name of an actual DS9 novel? I'm sure I saw that somewhere…

Vic Fontaine is the DS9 equivalent of the ship's counselor (Troi). Since we only had about two seasons' worth of him, right when the characters needed such an influence, I find him pretty tolerable. Also, I just love "Badda Bing, Badda Boom".

Odo's knee-(or lower-extremity-joint)-jerk reaction of "more fascism" makes so much more sense later on, too.

My wife and I quoted "a red snapper — very tasty!" every time we caught one in Animal Crossing. I was always a little disappointed that they didn't use that as the actual quote in the games.

My wife and I were all but convinced that Boris was Tim Curry until the credits said otherwise.

Thanks for pointing out the preview episode; I had missed any mention of that prior to this. Watching last night I kept getting the feeling that I was somehow missing a TON of backstory, but they kept calling it the "premiere" so I was all "nope, it's definitely the first show… I guess they'll go over that later?"

I bet the studio wanted to have a laugh track, but they had no idea when to cue it. Or when not to.

Airplane/Naked Gun credits are THE BEST. My wife and I have made a habit of sticking around until the end of the credits whenever we catch a new movie. The Pirates and Marvel movies are the surface reason, but I know that the ZAZ credits are the underlying cause.
