Why did you find the Hulu documentary dreadful? I enjoyed it, but I admit it’s my only real exposure to the WeWork story so I really can’t say if it’s slanted towards someone.

Also, I love Dolly Parton, but Christmas in the Square was not worthy of any kind of award, especially when Netflix had a far superior Christmas offering right there! Justice for Jingle Jangle!
In the revival, they did some rewrites so Gigi (played by Vanessa Hudgens) was 18 and they tried to make it less creepy. (Thank Heavens was not sung by Honore, but by two older female characters) The play flopped.
Agreed. I adore this movie, even though the central conceit was not ok at the time and has aged terribly. But it had Caron! Jordan! Hermoine Gringold! And Maurice Chevalier being just 100% French and charming. And Lerner & Lowe’s best ever score. I’ll watch it anytime it’s on TCM.
Cecile, Pete, and Aidy basically did half seasons due to their other filming commitments last year. As much as I enjoy them on SNL (well, Cecily and Aidy, anyway) it’s pretty clear they’re looking for the exits. The cast is mega-bloated right now, and it would not surprise me if Lorne asked them to stick around last…
Oh, I like Undercover Blues as well! (And it got not great reviews IIRC) It had one of my favorite running gags, where the mugger names himself “Muerte” and Dennis Quaid just keeps calling him Morty. (That inspired me to name a self-important but ineffectual villain in one of my books Morty)
Stealing this from Twitter:
Fun Fact: No special effects were required for Wood to be a hobbit in LOTR.
My favorite is still Final Fantasy XV, with Elijah Wood, where Conan basically choke slams his poor producer against a wall when he reveals that a boss battle will take about 72 real time hours to finish. Then, he finds out that all the game devos have been watching his review on a live stream, so goes out and yells…
Yes, anytime someone says Last Jedi is the “worst Star Wars evah,” I point them towards the Crystal Star, which has centaurs and werewolves (excuse me, “wyrwolves”)
I was both annoyed by and enjoyed this movie. Annoyed, because it has almost nothing to do with the I, Robot stories (except for the three laws and one character being named Susan Calvin and being exactly nothing like the Susan Calvin in the books.) The movie more closely hews to theplot of Caves of Steel -…
So far Savannah Guthrie is fine. Competent, middle of the pack. Mayim and Buzzy were the most engaging and my favorites so far.
In the rest of the world, Hulu is known as Disney Star. It’s a separate hub on Disney+ and shows the content that is too mature for regular Disney+. I’m not sure what the current streaming arrangements are, but I would bet that existing contracts and subscriptions keep Disney from blending Hulu into its main D+ in…
Yeah, that’s why you can stream Deadpool 1 & 2 on Hulu, but not Disney+
Pixar still makes consistently high quality films. I’ll put Coco and Inside Out up against anything from their first decade. And Onward is a great movie that has been sadly underrated. (And keep in mind, the Golden Age of Pixar still brought you A Bug’s Life and Cars.)
Good for her! Now I fully expect to read that the lightsaber kid has been cast as a Jedi in season 3 of Mandalorian.
Smith said in an interview on io9 that he was a huge fan of the new She Ra. He also said he wasn’t the guy to reinvent He Man in a similar way and he wanted to do a continuation.
Nia Vardalos joins in part 3: My Big Fat Greek Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’s Wedding
I’ve had that issue with kinja on iPhone for ages.
I’ve always been a huge fan of the original Law & Order and its soapy cousin SVU, so I am not exaggerating when I say that L&O: MotherFuckin’ Stabler was the show I was most looking forward to all season.
