I’d be totally happy if this became a show that focused on characters and individual stories and didn’t try and have an overarching big case for the season. Just do a Case of the Week! The draw of this show is Mare and her mom and Lori.

I’d always heard how bad this movie was, but when I finally got around to watching it, I kinda liked it! It probably helped that I’ve never read the books, though

The Snyder cut of Justice League is wildly indulgent and melodramatic, but there’s a lot of fun to be had in its grand spectacle.”

For decades, the “normal” Oscar date was in late March/early April. This changed in 2003 because the Academy got fed up with Harvey Weinstein’s hyper aggressive Oscar campaigns. (Many people thought he cost Scorsese an Oscar for Gangs of New York because of his over the top campaign.) So the awards were moved up a

Yeah, this is exactly how I feel. I can happily argue about what the Oscars have gotten wrong over the years and who they’ve snubbed, but I still think they honor a lot of worthy films. They offer movie fans a very handy guide to movie history and even help flag movies that might otherwise slip out of public

Possibly, although it just reads as Generic Family Sitcom Set to me.

The only way I could be more excited for this series would be if they had cast Kevin James or Jim Belushi.

It seems like they’re making the mistake of thinking I care deeply about these characters and would rather watch them talk about their relationships than drive cars out of planes.

Yeah, I mean fuck Harvey Weinstein, but this corporate debt restructuring would’ve happened regardless of who drove the company into the ground.

This was a surprisingly good episode. Anya Taylor-Joy was a fantastic host, and I have only ever seen her in The VVitch (which was really good, btw) so I had no expectations. But she is a stunningly beautiful woman that has impeccable comic timing so SNL should just start booking her for every season now. (Alternate

Exactly how much money is that lousy Bull show making CBS? Between this and the settlement they paid Dushku, it hardly seems worth keeping an extremely toxic workplace afloat. This show has okay ratings, zero buzz, and no Emmys so why keep is going?

That’s a stupid thing to get mad about, since Christine Baranski is funnier than everyone.

Hardly invented by Disney. I have a playbill from 1989 advertising “coming next fall, from director Alan Parker: Les Miserables, the movie!” Only 22 years off

This is the film I’m most excited to see this summer. Glad to hear it’s as good as I’m hoping it to be.

Any list that ranks any version of Budweiser ahead of No Beer is a farce.

My favorite Clueless Gamer bit was a Final Fantasy review he did with Elijah Wood. When he found out one of the boss battles took 72 hours in real time, he left the room to go yell at the programmers from the company who were watching them tape the segment.

Bill Maher is not letting go of that crown without a fight!

I don’t listen to his podcasts. I don’t watch his YouTube streams. I haven’t given a shit about him since Newsradio was canceled.

Huh. Between this and their investigation of Joss Whedon, I’m starting to think Warner Brothers is not very good at responding to harassment complaints.

Honestly that’s probably why they’re investing heavily in this. I get Prime Video, but I get it as part of my Amazon Prime subscription so it’s always a bit of an afterthought for me. I watch Disney+ way more. So it makes sense they’ll overspend for appointment viewing
