There are a handful of sequels that surpass the original movie - such as Empire Strikes Back, Godfather Part II, and Fury Road. Addams Family Values is definitely one of them.

“How else are you going to show people wielding magic against each other than with CGI blasts?”
Those replies are...something! One guy was comparing this to 9/11. A bunch were saying WB was deliberately trying to sabotage the movie they spent $70 mil on for reasons. The Snyder Cult just had to play victim at all times.
Oh so many. I’m so sentimental these days.
Honesty, what gets me in Rocky every time is the very end where Paulie is arguing with the guard and trying to get in the ring. While the guard is distracted, Paulie holds the rope up for Adrian to sneak in and go to Rocky. I don’t know why, but the asshole brother finally doing something nice for his sister gets me…
I know I’m an old codger now because that plot description makes zero sense. Apparently they hoovered up all the coke in LA before making that story pitch.
The royals learned absolutely fucking nothing from the death of Diana. Here they are agan, stepping all over their dicks by being so eager to be racist and shitty to Meghan.
This may also require a shift in the way movies are made. A Marvel/Star Wars film that costs $200 mil to make and $100 mil to market needs to make a billion worldwide to be profitable. I appreciate that Disney+ is going gangbusters, but that can’t be enough to replace the $10 billion Disney made in the world box…
Also: beer. It’s amazing how much better a film like MIB International is if I have beer and unlimited popcorn
One of my favorite clips from the past year has been an audience reaction video from Avengers Endgame. Thor is about to get killed by Thanos, when Mjolnir rises off the ground, nails Thanos in the head, and then soars back to Captain America. The crowd goes insane. And I really want to have that experience in a…
Anything to get his cult to keep bothering people to restore the snyderverse or whatever
I also kinda liked Cats! I was promised a train wreck and came out thinking parts of it were not that bad!
Oscar Wahlberg, who is Mark’s nephew (he’s a Smallberg, if you will)
I’m with you on Watchmen, and I actually really like the movie! But after seeing the HBO series, it’s just much more clear that Snyder didn’t really get at the heart of the comic book.
I will once again state my utter annoyance with these SnyderBois. When the Snyder Cut was first mentioned, a common response was “There may well be a rough edit, but it’s in no way fit for viewing by an audience.” The Snyder Cults would respond “Nuh-uh, stupid! Film cans! Picture lock! We could see it tomorrow!!!!!”
Exactly. The reason Clark becomes Superman and not a General Zod clone is because his parents fill him with empathy and love and a belief Truth, Justice and the American Way. If he doesn’t have those values then why on earth would he try to defend humanity?
“We fuck in a society!”
Agree. There’s some funny weird stuff in there - like Kenan showing the sitcom outtakes of he and Cori to the kids - but it’s hidden under some pretty formulaic family sitcom setups. I hope it can figure out the balance.
Bernadette Peters, Mark Hamill, and Christopher Reeves are all high on my list. Also a great one has guest star Marty Feldman, who finally gets to meet his favorite muppet. Cookie Monster. (Can’t imagine what he likes about him...)
It really is surprising how he’s disappeared. Trump is an egomaniacal narcissist who could go on Hannity or Tucker or Judge Janine or any other show on Fox or OANN or Newsmax and have an adoring anchor lob him softball questions, at any time he wanted! He could have his own network! That was the original plan, wasn’t…
