Yeah, 80's wrestling was just full of stereotypes - WWF had the Iron Sheik (evil A-rab), Junkyard Dog (black man with a dog collar), and Kamala (black witch doctor) just to name a few. And while GLOW did explore some of the friction between the characters playing them and the racial stereotypes, they never went that

New York is a densely populated urban area and, after a horrendous March and April, we got our transmission rate under control.

Yeah, the “kidnap the governor” lines all seemed noticeably out of sync, which made me think the joke was going to be that the FBI were framing a bunch of burger crazed losers for the kidnap plot.

I have that as well! I think I sent away for it through Loompanics Unlimited. God, I miss that Loompanics catalog...

So disheartening. It’s tough to break in to comics when there’s not a pandemic induced recession going on, so I get why newcomers would jump at the chance to work there. At the same time, Rev’s emails are so disjointed and rambling I can’t tell if he’s being predatory or just ignorant of industry practices, which is

I watched the first one this weekend, and I don’t think it’s for me. It was so incredibly bleak and hopeless that a face stealing serial killer was the least upsetting thing in the episode.

Completely agree, the shows seem to be flying by. It seemed like the debate and monologue went long, so they cut the actual 10 to 1 sketch. There was some weird cutting back to a bumper after the ad break post-Sam Adams, then right back to more ads then straight to the good nights.

While not everything worked, it was great to see some edginess in an SNL monologue. Too often, performers come on SNL that I think will be good only to have them get ground down by the formulaic nature of the show. Burr kept his edge and persona intact. Also, Kate’s “I’m obviously not” added to the more unpolished

Pretty much everything on Splinter Dot Com. I’m very lefty, but reading those horrendous articles written by people with no civics knowledge whatsoever was like getting stuck in a car with the radio stuck on Rush Limbaugh.

The joys of the show for me are the Rory-Loreli relationship, and the extended Gilmore family dynamic. Love the patter, love the rapid jokes. The townsfolk can be... a lot. They are best in limited doses.

Completely agree. The Rory storylines would make much more sense as a season eight arc in 2008. She finishes her reporting from the Obama campaign bus (probably getting bumped in favor of a staff reporter once Obama’s campaign took off and was more than just a long shot) so she comes home to Star’s Hollow. But she

It looked like they filmed everything in and around 30 Rock, probably due to Covid filming restrictions.

This was the first South Park I’d watched in a while, and I was surprised how much I liked it. The kids had the better plot lines for me - Stan desperately trying to stay normal, Cartman and his 6’ stick, the police brutality (poor Token). It seemed much more focused than past episodes, yet still had time for Randy to

I was planning on going to Disney World to see Galaxy’s Edge this year, but I’m not going anywhere near Florida as long as Ron DeSantis keeps insisting covid is a hoax and pretending it’s beaten.

That’s good. I really liked the SNL app, but it got discontinued. I hope it will be as easy to search for skits on Peacock.

S5 is the best season overall, but six is very good and the finale is perfect.

I saw that! And pretty much every thing in that video was acccurate.

Schitt’s Creek will absolutely fill the void for you.

Sliders? Oh man, I haven’t seen that in ages!

I guess it depends on their objective. HBO Max has had its share of startup glitches, so hyping an exclusive that a die hard fan base craves is a good way to get more buzz and subscribers. Also, HBO Max will now be the streaming home for all the DC film content since DCU is shuttering, and Snyder Cut could be a good
