My favorite drunk host was Kyle Kinane, who got so hammered he started crying “it’s not even nine o’clock!” A wild no context phrase I try and use when I can.

Yeah, they were recreating naval battles with toy boats in a bath tub.
Kingdom is fantastic. It’s like Ran, but with zombies.
The new Pete’s Dragon was far superior, although that was a live action-animated hybrid.
You can point out over and over that the best selling graphic novels in the country are aimed at middle school girls (Anything by Raina Telgemeier), but you’ll only get told that those aren’t real comics by the gaters.
I got a Chromecast so I could watch HBOMax and Studio Ghibli movies on my tv, which seems to be the best workaround until Roku and HBO stop their pissing match.
Yep, that’s been my experience with Spectrum.
Been watching this, and it’s ok. I like Ava but I cannot stand most of the nuns. If they didn’t act like colossal assholes when training Ava, she probably would’ve stuck around
I watched the UFO one with interest since I spent a couple summers doing theatre out there. I liked it, but I gotta say I really miss Robert Stack’s seedy narration. That always helped sell the stories with his gruff and ominous voice.
My favorite of his style parodies is “Pacreas,” which sounds like it could’ve come from one of Brian Wilson’s “Smile” sessions.
MechaGodzilla is doing IT support and connecting their WiFi Router.
Yeah that death really stood out as gratuitous. My only guess was that her part was drastically reduced or rewritten in later drafts but they’d already spent money on the death scene effects and decided not to change it. (I suspect she was a lot bitchier and probably ditched the kids rather than have them run away…
It annoyed me to no end that Ian Malcolm’s surprise cameo in Jurassic World (photo on book jacket) was almost as long as his heavily market cameo in Fallen Kingdom.
Hey, if I paid theme park prices for two giant margaritas, you damn right I’d take them when running from a pterodactyl!!
Oh shit! I was just wondering what happened to the fresh faced star of Into the Wild and Speed Racer that caused him to end up in this dreck with Mel Gibson, and yikes. That’s worse than I imagined.
I get HBOMax for free, and there’s no way I’m watching four hours of this portentous twaddle.
Yeah, this. Who had a more problematic view of women, the man who made Buffy or the msn who made Sucker Punch?
And that’s crap, because so many of these girls have said they told him they were 16 or 17.
The funniest thing about reading Transmetropolitan now is them thinking anyone would care if a journalist wrote a searing column. Spider literally stops cops from killing rioters by writing an expose. That seems so quaint now.
I liked it a lot, but it couldn’t compare to his last special, Annihilation.
