Splinter was a site where I agreed with almost all of their political goals (Unions! Single payer healthcare!) but were so goddamn insufferable and humorless about everything it made me embarrassed to be on their side.

I liked this one a lot. There hasn’t been a ton of Bob-Tina team ups, as opposed to Bob-Louise and Bob-Gene, so it was great to have them together.

Maybe it’s just because my expectations are low, but I really enjoyed the last two weeks of SNL. I’d give each a B+. It’s great how this season seems to be leaning into fewer repeating sketches and more general weirdness.

I mean, the trailers show a gang of (I assume) vigilantes in Rorschach masks, so it would appear that the legacies of the original characters have a long reach.

Kevin Smith had a story on a recent podcast about Supernatural. When he was filming to pilot for Reaper, he was talking to a CW executive. The exec said “We see this show as a natural replacement for Supernatural. That show’s winding down.”

Hopefully we get more Angelica Huston as the ballet mistress/assassin trainer
