“The sweet potato has no marshmallows!”
Of course “the people who like you really like you” is the perfect encapsulation of Bob’s Burgers fandom. The show has never had the cachet or the popularity of the Simpsons or Family Guy but it’s been consistently great. And the fans freakin’ love it.
Everyday I’m thankful that my dad binge watches MSNBC rather than Fox.
Oh please no. That was a crappy knockoff of Crisis and the only thing anyone remembers about it is that’s where the symbiote/Venom came from. I am immediately disheartened that this is the Russos’ favorite comic, especially considering how good their movies are.
Seriously, I haven’t heard anything about her since her disputes with Disney post Hillary Duff Show
Like you mention above, one reason conspiracy theories are so hard to fight is that enough have actually been proven right to muddy the waters. (Tuskeegee syphilis trials! CIA mind control experiments!) The CIA and the police and the FBI have done enough shady and outright illegal shit over the years, would it really…

You know how to combat this? Go vote in every election. Not just president. Not just congress. EVERY ONE. Republicans figured this out ages ago. They stack school boards and city councils with knuckle-draggers who want to teach creationism and ban sex ed and this creates the pool they draft congressional and state…
This needs more stars.
A business model that relies on your staff to grind out 80 hour weeks until they suffer a nervous breakdown is unsustainable. I think everyone would be better served if they ratcheted back expectations a notch or two.
They had a bunch of really great ones, including several by Harlan Ellison (Shatterday, Paladin of the Lost Hour). The ending of Paladin in particular has alway stuck with me, with Tim Reid getting to confront the soldier who sacrificed himself in Vietnam.
I liked Ghostbusters ‘16, but I’d probably like any movie that teamed up Wiig, McCarthy, and Kate.
Yep. All of those arguments are being made below. If any other Democrats has announced this, Splinter would be raining napalm on them.
Agreed. I’ve been expecting the worst ever since this was announced, but the trailer looks intriguing. Very 70s New York feel. Might actually be good!
Or Comixology Unlimited which gives you Marvel, DC, and other publishers for $6/mo
This gets too little attention. Managers always take advantage of the young, hard working, and eager to prove themselves. People who will work themselves 80 hour weeks and never get rewarded for it.
Also, when the Twilight Zone was rebooted in the ‘80s, the episodes were one hour long, but they had multiple stories in them. Some were the whole hour, some were 20 minutes. That meant there was very little padding out to make it an hour.
Taxi service and public transportation outside of major urban centers is generally awful. Uber definitely fills a need. (Good luck getting a cab or a bus in Westchester, NY late at night!) The problem comes when silicon valley VC gets their hands all over a decent idea.
Yes. Even in a city with a good public transit system (and despite the myriad problems, NYC has a good public transit system), there are parts of it that are underserved. The subway doesn’t cover all of Queens or the Bronx. Yellow cabs don’t want to go to outer boroughs, unless its to the airport. Uber and Lyft…
And then, of course, the Orioles proceeded to almost squander a 6 run lead to the Jays, barely hanging on to win 6-5. The Jays are a terrible hitting team right now. Their best bats are all in Buffalo waiting for the service time clock to run out. I can’t imagine it would’ve gone any worse for the Orioles if they let…
