If you throw a cooler at someone engaging in reckless driving of an ebike on a sidewalk and kill them you will be committing manslaughter, in the least. You seem to be in the 2 wrongs makes a right category.

Yes. It is well established that police cannot kill someone merely for running from them.

“18.92 mph over the 100 miles”

People in SUVs driving too fast for conditions?
I’m shocked I tell you. Just shocked.

In total fairness... You’re sort of right.

Based from the comments on these videos, people see through the smoke and mirrors and aren’t buying it. I guess not all hope is lost.

For Shell in 2020, 70% of their messaging is greenwashing, while 10% of their investments were in “low carbon” or green tech. Similar ratios go for all the other oil companies. BP plans to be net zero in all emissions including upstream/consumers by 2050 or earlier. That means they will have to replace fossil fuels

I guess murdering the whole planet IS technically acting as a change agent for our future?

It’s good material for a services vs hardware debate. Anything that might require ongoing operational cost for the company, which would include things like the servers, satellite connectivity, staff to maintain remote functions of the vehicle, etc. do make financial sense (for the company) to limit to a subscription

Agreed. Services can be subscription. Features cannot. Since this relies on connectivity and maintaining databases with real-time updates, this is a service.

Well the thing is, even with the Blue Cruise, the tech IS built in from the jump.  They way I read it is that the tech is already there you can either pay for it up front $2100 for 3 years, or not and either pay monthly or yearly.  Which is BS, IF the tech is already built into the car by default, meaning you ARE

Is that leading cop car a Model Y?

A guy can dream. The thing with highspeed in Alberta is that it’s all straight lines, flat ground, and open spaces. I’d think the engineering involved for Calgary-Edmonton is a lot less complex that Toronto-Montreal.

I’ve just experienced this in a non-Tesla EV. Yesterday I did quite a bit of highway driving in my Ioniq. At higher speeds, the remaining range readout would often drop by 2 km or even more for every km driven. Today I’ve been driving around town with the climate control off, seeing the range drop as little as 1 km

theyre trying to eminent domain the land to get it done and all of those farmers who are gonna lose the land arent having that shit.

Spilling a mug of coffee on a keyboard is an accident, not a mistake.

You have expressly stated what is known as a YOU problem. You are infinitely free to choose to NOT live there and NOT deal with that sort of environment.

But you wanted to be seen and heard in your disapproval and you have now been seen and heard. Good night and good luck.

I used to “depend” on cars, and couldn’t imagine a life without mine. As much as I love cars, time has shown me car-dependence is just unsustainable. And it really makes life harder, not easier.

this is cool of her. I’m sure there will be people who feel it isn’t enough, and grand scheme, probably isn’t. But it’s $5MM in the pockets of people who didn’t have it before so sounds good to me.

It’s not at all impossible.
