I was an aviation safety manager for a number of years and reading the guy’s philosophy tells me all I need to know about this “when not if” incident.

Anyone remember this ad? Seems appropriate these days.
Regarding the brakes: given the low mileage (13,XXX miles), unless the rotors are scored, bent (from an impact), warped, they should be fine. And the pads, unless they’ve been fouled with oil or brake fluid, should also be fine as long as they are within spec for thickness. That said, replacing the pads with something…
How accessible is the valve adjustment? On my R100 it’s as simple as removing the valve covers (which are on the sides of the bike, I’ll admit, and not on top), and then it’s loosening the bolts on the rocker arm in order to have a clearance such that your feeler gauge is held but can be slid out easily, then…
Judging by the general grunginess of the bike, I’d assume that nothing on it has been taken care of - take it apart as much as you can / feel comfortable doing, and then clean & inspect everything. It could be that you don’t find any trouble spots and just spend a few hours learning about the bike, but you may find…
Two different conversations being rolled into one.
Director-General Willie Walsh said, “I think it’s fair to portray the EU as being anti-aviation, whereas other parts of the world are very positive, pro-aviation.”
yes and no. For individual mass transportation, it is possibly not the best choice. Even though the Honda FCX Clarity has proven for more than 10 years now that it CAN work.
The storage and transportation is the big deal. We have several places on earth where we have lots of renewable energy, but can’t get it away,…
Interesting review, I hope I get a chance to try a Zero soon, but at the moment they’re way to expensive for me.
There’s no penalty high enough now that we’ve already deemed automakers like GM “too big to fail”. Why care about fines when you can just hold your hand out and get a bail out
Problem is, making cars more efficient costs money to develop. It will make car prices go up, except for the case that the model already exists, like you described with the BMW X1.
“If you don’t force companies, they will never change.” Yup, just like with minimum wage... if the company could pay you less, they would.
You can still get up to *activities* in the back of a Matrix. Ask me how I know.
You’re all wrong.
Almost every automaker is having issues building enough EVs to meet demand. An example, GM has 90k Hummer reservations, 200k+ Silverado Reservations, thousands of Blazer EVs, etc...and they’ve sold 850 in the past 18 months and is having a HELL of a time scaling up.
“This will happen slowly. Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of shit.”
AM radio and right wing websites is where they are hearing it.
I didn’t need another reason. But it’s not like I’ll ever buy new again.
If you don’t want people to try and push you out of the equation, actually add some value. Most car dealers in this country add nothing to the car buying process but hassle and cost.
