If you are looking at countries that really push EV, the rate of adoption is actually crazy (Norway). 80% of their new vehicle is EV.

They sell well, they actually cannot supply enough. They are pissed because they cannot rip off customers on the maintenance like they do on ICE products.

A DC fast charging range is around $150,000 each installed while a AC is around $15,000. I know I did the budget for the office of the company I worked for. Unless they require 9-10 DC stations, which make no sense, I really think your numbers are not accurate.

The key point in my comment you are missing, is price gouging, I am talking MSRP. These have been pretty difficult to find lately, even if this is getting better.

Unfortunately, I don’t think they have (and I would love to own a Guilia). If you look at European surveys where they sell way more Alfa than here, this is still not up to even European standard (not talking Japanese quality here).

Yes but definitely not to keep up with gouging pricing as we are seeing lately.

Yeah even pricing on the used market is cooling down with cars sitting on the lot for 2-3 months. I selected some on Autotrader and keep checking until they get to a decent price to buy one.

This is more what I am upset about the current situation. The same car from one year to another (even a couple years) took a massive price increase, which is not only due to inflation, but pure profit (and yes because they can).

Good point, we criticize the current overcrowded market of soulless SUV/CUV, which mostly are so boring to drive (and frankly shit if you enjoy driving), BUT at least, they have the basics right, which was not the case in the 80-90s for all cars sold at the time.

You have never been to Africa, obviously.

This is not new. I grew up in France and for as long as I remember, older cars are being shipped in Africa (Algeria, Morocco... etc) for a second life. Mostly diesel cars though. Sure it might have been accelerated but it is not like EV cars are at a sales rate of 80% in Europe either

Actually, they do waste by buying new, you are being very good at not wasting by driving a perfectly good used vehicle

I am pretty sure they have “someone” to take care of keeping their car clean and maintain without having to go to the dealership....or anywhere else

Same thing on the used market, I have been saving cars in my research for 4-5months now that are not selling and pricing is going down as months pass.

Good to hear. I have been wanted to buy one since I drove one as a rental in Italy for 1 week, years ago. Maybe I should give it a second look then.

Except that now the price for a used one is high, even for a used Guilia !

I had the chance to drive both (280hp and the R) and actually own a GTI 7.5. The Guilia has this incredible blend of comfort, refinement but also very precise chassis and precise steering which, no German manufacturers are able to reproduce (BMW, Audi... etc) IMO, they always end up with a suspension set up to harsh

One of the biggest factor to ride a motorcycle (for me) is the engine noise, specially at very high rpm.... If they can let us ride combustion engine with this method, I am all for it. Yes I know EV motorcycle are fast, lot of torque...etc I am just not into it with this lack of emotion. Maybe I am too old.

This Ferrari F550 always made me think of a shark. Specially with the air vent on the side

They do but on Amazon
