Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers). Basically what it says on the can. A battleship. In space. I LOVED this cartoon when I was a kid, but even I acknowledge that it makes no sense to convert a sunken WWII battleship into an interstellar spacecraft.
They could have just flown the fighters (A, B, X) as they are capable of handling the cold of interstellar space. Looking at the new trailers they are apparently maneuverable enough as well.

NAS Whidbey certainly has one of the most diverse operations areas. Within 100 miles there is ocean, rain forest, mountains, glaciers and desert. The Air Station is a good neighbor to the folks on the island as well.
We have a Mini Cooper and two kids. When I only have one kid with me I often load them through the hatch. I guess I will take the risk of getting the po-po called on me.
I grew up in Maple Valley, WA, one town over from SIR. When the NHRA was in town we could hear the top fuel cars from our house. We were 10-15 miles away. It was glorious. Saw my first pro drag race there. My folks vollenteered there in the 70s.

I would agree. The Blues are amazing, but I was blown away with the Arrows when I saw them at Goodwood.
Pretty cool. The notion of high speed taxi demos is interesting. Its cool to see and hear the aircraft, but you are incurring probably 60%-70% of the risk involved in just letting it fly demos.
